Alligator sausage sandwich is amazing!!! The farmed raised white meat tail meat mixed with great spices on a fantastic bread covered in a house made spicy mustard is just awesome!!!! Must try it!!!

You CAN haggle for prices, but do so only for the cheap/knockoff stuff. Don't haggle with the real artists for their art . Fun to walk around and look at everything. Great place to find local music CDs

While very touristy , there are still a few hidden gems inside (like the apple beignets ).

If you're looking for souvenirs to bring back, this is the place to get it. It's usually a little bit cheaper than just getting it inside the stores and you can try to haggle to lower the price.

Good local food and there’s a flea market which is fun. Was there during the Mardi Gras period so lines were insanely long.

French Market / Flea Market is a mix of Artist/souvenirs. Close up about 4pm& open all wk. PPL often mistake the flea Market as a bargaining game,if ur buying frm a artist plz respect their pricing.

Do a walk around before buying anything. A different vendor might have it cheaper, or in a style you like better. Also, be nice to them and most vendors will take down the price a few dollars.

You have GOT to get a cold, refreshing drink from the Organic Banana --- non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks made fresh...the Piña Colada was awesome, as was the Mango Rum Punch !

Always fun and also plan a lunch here at some of the most amazing small cafes . My favorite is Meals from the Heart and their crab cake salade to die for!

The Snoball shop inside the French Market is great. Wonderful service and great flavors. Try the Egg Cream with condensed milk !
