This used to be an office for Hal, a really nice gentleman who used to do notary work and accounting. It's nice they kept his name.
Long live independent coffee houses - solid espresso drinks , chai , and a limited but delicious selection of pastries . Add in wifi , cheerful service, and a pleasant neighborhood vibe . Winner!

Low key , local shop. Water color daily menu avoids being precious. Mornings are busy but relaxed. They know about their beans and willing to chat.
