The overly-sweet buttercream literally makes my teeth ache... but the banana pudding lives up to the hype: creamy w an almost whipped texture. Get a large--you'll be happy you have some to take home!

Banana pudding is a MUST try here,at least sample it,when it comes to cakes/cupcakes their icing is tasty but wouldn't say the same about the loaf they bake it with,brownies ,bars , and cookies are good

Magnolia is my favorite bakery and this is my favorite magnolia. Banana pudding is the ultimate dessert . The buttercream frosting on the cupcakes is perfect. AND the people who work here are so sweet.

I consider this home. The UWS store staff is super friendly , patient and helpful. Try an assortment of flavors. My personal faves: chocolate-chocolate cupcake and full chocolate (big piece of) cake

Friendly staff , if they can see you behind the tall displays. Take a mini cheesecake , fruit crisp, or cupcake in a box to sneak into a movie . Open late , and they don't run out of a lot by closing.

The cupcakes are amazing but the service in the Upper West store is just terrible!! Run away from here! Try the store in West Village instead - same delicious food and a friendly staff .

What is not to love about the famous Magnolia Bakery? Try anything and EVERYTHING-- especially the cupcakes ! They make a great treat and a well appreciated gift ! We love S'mores and red velvet cupcake

caramel pecan cheesecake was everything. i also got the brownie , which was also satisfying. overall, all my choices were perfect. try the banana pudding .

Cinnamon sugar muffins are to die for (sometimes after 5pm they give them away for free!!) and the vanilla bean cheesecake is so rich and creamy - hands down the best bakery in NYC!!!

Don't skip anything, get everything. Especially the banana pudding , cakes , cupcakes , pie , and hot chocolate . Oh and don't forget the cookies and dessert bars .

The bakery that began the cupcake craze is still the best. We suspect it’s the lick-your-fingers-to-get-the-last-bit-of-butter-cream frostings and fillings. They do a mean banana pudding too.

Flourless chocolate cake is available, the frosting was to sugary For me but the cake itself is good!

The cupcakes can be on the dry side if you don't get them super fresh. Go for the banana pudding instead
