If you are not staying in downtown San Diego and are staying anywhere around Mission Valley or east county SD, this would be the stop. It does not always stop in Old Town .
I love to take a ride on the Coaster it is so relaxing and it gives you something to do and it's a very beautiful scenic ride and also you can eat on the coaster
If boarding Amtrak northbound to Los Angeles or Goleta and all points in between make sure you paid for your ticket and have it available on your mobile or printed out beforehand as no onboard tickets
Not just a trolly stop but a southbound detrain stop for Coaster and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner , also a good place to board the northbound Coaster and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner
Track 4 is for Amtrak. They should honestly put on some signs because if you don't take the Amtrak regularly you wouldn't know that.
Plenty of parking for the 7:52 train , but after that you'll have to find street parking so allow extra time for that
This is NOT the main Amtrak Station in San Diego. Do Not get off here if you are heading towards San Diego UNLESS you are in the Twilight Zone and you have went back in tome to the 1800's.
Confusing to get around. Make sure you know if you're looking for the Coaster or the Surfliner .
Amtrak trains in both directions go from track 4, coaster trains in both directions track 3
Get your Corn Dogs here.....
Coaster does not wait but they do check tickets. No ticket = $200 fine
Be prepared for the smell of urine in the tunnel beneath the tracks .
Love to travel on this train
Are we on the correct track . There are no Amtrak signs at all. Seems like track 4 is the Amtrak track .
