Walking distance from Acropolis, takes 10min to walk down. So impressive and very ancient. There are many spots to visit; do not miss the Library .

This is one of the better areas for archaeological sites. A lot to look at and it gives a great perspective on the lives of Ancient Greeks and how society operated. As well as some of Rome’s influence

Take a walk around the old Athenian Agora and see the places Socrates and Plato used to give their lectures. You can also admire the temple of Hephaestus , the best preserved temple of the Antiquity!

Cool historic site which comes with acropolis admission. Do the Rick Steves tour ! Avoid coming in the afternoon as there isn’t much shade.

The agora in Athens had private housing, until it was reorganized by Peisistratus in the 6th century BC. He removed the other houses, closed wells , and made it the centre of Athenian government.

Never been there after 42 years living in Athens. What a mistake to lose on that magical full of energy historical place. Amazing.

OVIOUSLY, «agora» can not be translated in market because wasn't the market of Ancient Athens . Lets say was the Hyde park of Athens. If you know what I mean.
