The garlic pork ramen broth is delicious! My bf found it to be a bit heavy though. The only thing I would change would be the actual pork , which tasted more like cha siu than standard braised pork .
Extras: Roasted Pork , Roasted Seaweed , Curry Powder , Bamboo Shoots , Kikurage, Green Chives , Fresh Seaweed , Egg (Q/C), Corn , Napa Cabbage & Shiitake , Fried Garlic , Kimchee , Spicy Cod Roe , Green Cabbage
Got tonkotsu (garlic pork ) ramen with extra wakame (fresh seaweed ). So good! Just remember to dunk your toppings in the broth so they are warm!
Spicy garlic pork ramen with a scoop of chicken gravy is Dojo's specialty. The miso broth is also a highlight, as are the quail eggs in each ramen . Come early and prepare to wait!
Yes, there will be lines , but Dojo sets the standard for sutamina-style ramen . The standard bowl comes with fatty pieces of pork , mushroom , chives , bell pepper , quail egg and garlicky chicken gravy . Read more
This place serves basically one entree: ramen and it's very good. All topped the same, and with three flavors: Garlic/Pork (my recommdation) Soy Bean , and Soy Sauce . You also choose the heat level.
My favorite noodle style of any ramen place I've been to in the Bay Area. They'll bring you extra after you finish (kaedama) if you ask, but save some broth. 'Regular Spicy Garlic Pork ' was great
Garlic pork is like a lighter tonkotau base. Go for regular spicy - I like spicy and even regular burned a little. Spicy cod roe is very salty, but worth adding!
There was a long wait but the food was worth it. The spicy pork ramen was amazing. Surprisingly, the pork was my least favorite part, it was tough. However, this will be my ramen place of choice now.
That it was awesome! Ramen . They're open 11.30 am everyday but if you're wanna enjoy great ramen , you should come here before 10.30 am because It's gonna long line
Extra spicy pork (isn't too spicy ) with fresh seaweed is Big Hitter ramen . Get there at 11:15 am if you want to make first sitting. Ask for two waters when you're seated
The regular spicy garlic pork was excellent. Mild may be just spicy enough for some. Go extra noodle and quail egg !
Make sure you go early to avoid the line ! also they have a possibility to run out of broth so make sure you get the most popular one (spicy garlic pork ) !
The garlic pork broth is the bomb. Mild spiciness is decently spicy and tastes great! Unfortunately, they ran out of a lot of items when we got here so come early.
Garlic Spicy Pork for the win! The broth is absolutely fantastic. Go "regular spicy"...extra spicy would be way too spicy . Go for extra noodles , seaweed (roasted) and egg . Then, thank me later
Best ramen in the Bay Area. Get there at 5 before it opens to be in the first seating. Get the garlic pork flavor with fresh seaweed .
Got there at 1 pm on a sunday, sat down and ate by 1:30 pm. Wait isn't bad and the noodles are great! Overheard that their garlic pork broth was running out at 1:45 pm that day.
Absolutely love the ramen here and the soup is fantastic! I prefer adding roasted seaweed and an egg
Tiny restaurant with long lines , but worth the wait! Get the spicy garlic pork ramen !
Had to wait 25 mins for a table but SO worth it! Mild spicy garlic pork with extra pork ! Broth is so good :-)
Amazing garlic and pork ramen ! Def come before 530PM dinner opening (at around 5) to get in line and get slotted for first round of seating.
Try the soy sauce ramen - The broth was not my first choice but was tasty nonetheless. But the real star was the al dente noodles on the side! Worth the trip to San Mateo.
Extra spicy tonkotsu ramen is sooo good. Also they give very generous amount of toppings.
Get here early or the wait can be crazy long. No take out . small place. Goto:garlic pork little spicy w/extra pork/quail eggs . Broth is savory and refreshing, try it! (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Know what my favorite part was? Those roasted garlic cloves ! What a yummy idea. Next time, I'm ordering extra!
Must order deep fried taco yaki! Surprisingly authentiv! Ramen is so awesome too!
Almost as good as Ippudo (NYC).. Not as ambient and fun, but definitely tasty. Fried squid legs are great.
The garlic pork ramen is the best ramen in SF, making our list of "The Tastes That Make the City : SF Edition." Read more
their noodles have a really good texture; still kinda chewy! love the soy bean soup base. add bamboo shoots !
Pork flavor extra spicy with fresh seaweed is the way to roll at this amazing establishment. Bam Ba Lam
It's good ramen but I'm not sure what the hype is about. The eggs were overcooked and medium spicy is too spicy to still be able to taste any of the more subtle flavors of the broth
Always get Ramen and wings . Can't miss the wings .
Best ramen ever. Period. Definitely should avoid weekend, and it closes on Tuesday.
Garlic pork ramen is to die for...the broth here is amazing. Tip: get an extra quail egg ...deeeeeelish!
Best ramen ever, worth the long wait in the cold. Get the garlic pork flavor .
Best spicy ramen in the Bay Area. Come early and be prepared to wait.
My favorite ramen ! Even though I have to wait in a crazy line . It's the soup that makes me come back.
Try the Garlic Pork Flavor Ramen - Best ramen in the Bay . I added extra garlic , extra pork , corn and roasted seaweed .
The garlic pork broth is very good - just get there before it runs out!
Better then Himawari! Better then Santa Ramen ! Come here early and get in the list as soon as possible! Spicy garlic ramen with pork is to die for.
Not bad but vegetarians be warned that they don't have any veggie broth . It's a small place and usually has a wait
Be prepared to wait: it's popular and tiny inside. Make sure to get your name on the list outside the door or else you'll be waiting a long time! You can't go wrong with anything they offer here.
Get here early. People line up at 11am and the place opens at 11:30
Get here early! On Sunday there were people waiting at 4:35p. By 5:15p the line was 30+ people long (well into the second seating).
Be prepare for a half hour waiting line , but it has the best ramen in San Mateo
The garlic makes this place special.
Garlic pork + curry + corn + seaweed ????
Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Amazing broth!
Max capacity is 24- get there 20-30 min before opening to get a seat. Garlic pork flavor seems to be the popular choice
If you want to spare yourself a wait come early for lunch on a weekday or even the weekend.
If u like jazz and ramen, this is a must visit. Try scallop appetizer and tonkotsu ramen. - Tiffany Liu
Garlic lobster pork flavor parlor ramen with corn is delicious! Come early like you would for any ramen shop and waiting in line. - _
Order one of three broths; Soy Sauce, Pork, or Miso flavors and then add any extras. I recommend Pork with curry and fresh seaweed! - Raymond Beckner
The tapioca milk tea is the best. Egg puffs are much better than Eggettes, too! - jennifer s.
