One of the nicer Christmas markets in Berlin set against the stunning backdrop of the Schloss. They also had the best Kartoffelpuffer I've ever tried!

If you're in Berlin during the holidays, don't miss this Christmas market. A bit out of the way compared to the others, but overall better food and crafts selection.

Fairly large Christmas market with the lovely Charlottenburg palace as a backdrop. Palace is lit up evenings but that is also the busiest time so go early if you want to avoid crowds.

One of the best Christmas markets in Berlin. Order a Glühwein or Feuerzangenbowle and enjoy the Christmassy vibe in front of the Charlottenburg palace.

Have the best mulled wine - search for the small cabin of "Schlossgut Schmitt Guntersblum". (Not too sweet and -bonus- beautiful glasses.)

Go for the hot chestnuts and the weird Pfälzer kräuterlikor at the bar with the clear glass mugs. Skip the flammlachs hütte; it looks better than it executes.

for 2018 edition: there is a wild oyster stand, sounds unusual for a christmas market but worth trying out. 3€ per piece or 6 for 15€.

Pretty big market, not even an entrance fee. Lovely atmosphere and scenery with the castle in the background.

Such a pretty Weinachtsmarkt, probably my favourite in Berlin. Food options are fantastic!

Unbedingt unter der Woche hingehen, dann ist nicht so überlaufen. Die Shopping-Zelt-Mall ist etwas eigenartig, ansonsten stimmungsvoll! Glühwein galore!

Es gibt nur kleine historische Karussels und Schaukeln für kleinere Kinder, keine großen Kirmes Gerätschaften, Gott sei dank :)

Ein sehr stimmungsvoller Weihnachtsmarkt, der unter der Woche auch nicht voll ist. Das Langos, das ich hatte, war leider schon kalt. Lieber auf einem anderen Markt essen, wo es frisch gemacht wird...

So kulturell ansprechend habe ich mich noch nie bis zur Besinnungslosigkeit volllaufen lassen.
