I highly recommend Jan's Hobby Shop as an excellent example of discrimination based on race and perceived socioeconomic class . Looking is free and perfectly OK if one is respectful and polite.
Used to go to Jan's when i was 12, back when it was on York. I had no idea they had moved, I thought they closed. I was so happy to see that it was still in the neighborhood , a haven for true geeks.
