Awesome enclosed playground with two sandy areas; an infant and a toddler play structure with swings for both, tons of shared riding toys , and a large grassy meadow perfect for picnics /soccer .
Lots of cool history with this park . If you're ever at the Oakland Library History Room, take the time to look it up.

Great park for kids. Has two sections: one for 1-3 and the other for 3-5 or so. Also a couple regular swings and a tire swing. Great for combining with a trip to the nearby farmers market in Sunday - Ed
The location on the shore of Lake Merritt is stunning. The playground itself is probably best for kids less than 7 or 8. - Brian Strauss
