Security/Passport Control

Make sure that you have your passport ready. They now have electronic passport check in as well which speeds up the time. Just be sure to smile for your picture!

When your stuff has gone through the scanner, pick it up and move away. Don't fart around putting coats on and stuff by the scanner, it holds the rest of us up !

As automated as can be and quite fast despite long lines . Quite a few bags are sorted for secondary inspection but the staff are efficient and surprisingly pleasant.

The e-gate things are up and running. Great for singles & couples. The flipside though is that families with tired, bored, screaming kids now all have to queue together for ages for border control.

Everytime I go through passport control , my hubby gets stopped, I told him to get naked next time lol xx

Fairly quick queue, friendly professional staff

Terrible. It doesn't matter if your child has an Epassport . They are not allowed to use the machines. Despite us being told by Virgin and the passport office . So expect a long wait .

I reckon epassports work about 30% of the time. I'll avoid next time

If you get verbally assaulted by another passenger, don't complain the staff dont give a damn.

Avoid ePassport cue. Looks short and it often is but it hardly moves. System is slow and so far useless except for slowing down things

Don't have an EU passport--it's way faster :P
