Lisa’s Coffee Shop opened in 1980. Its building was most likely constructed in the early 1960s, with a Googie-style triangular roofline, a repurposed vintage sign and a brick-trimmed exterior.
There are original touches of vintage tile at the breakfast counter, which is fronted with mid-century wood laminate, and also in the attached counter stools.
The restaurant’s 1950s car culture theme is the 1980 re-created version, which is, of course, vintage itself now.
The inside is casual and comfortable , and filled with retro wall clutter, such as license plates and reproductions of vintage metal signs.
