Haminados

Cafe is named after “heuvos haminados”, a common Jewish egg dish , served here over open bagel (£4). I was hungry, so added schnitzel (£6) & roasted veges (£2). Careful, they add up!

Asked for a recommendation for a sweet pastry & owner Joseph pointed out the freshly-made apple pie (£5). Served chilled. Very gelatinous. Not overly sweet

I was immediately put at ease on entering the cafe . Owner-chef Joseph acknowledged with a smile, while patiently attending to a customer deciding on what to eat

Black coffee (£4) here is very strong! Thick & bitter. Love it!

Welcome to Joseph and Alex - "the neighbourhood kitchen" as they like to call it. Feel free to engage in converation - all guests are called by their first name after the first visit.

Recommend to anyone visiting London who wants a "small town " feel to your visit. We eat here daily. Best food. Best owner. Best energy.
