This is the type of place every tourist should see to understand the real New York and yet one I hope they never discover. Simply one of the best authentic family style Italian restaurants .

The linguini with clam sauce is so delicious!!! There are a couple of dishes that customers order off the menu , so if you spot something that looks good, ask for it:)

Great old school family style Italian Restaurant . Go with a group. Get there early because they fill up quick. Also it’s cash only . The baked clams are fantastic and the chicken in lemon butter sauce .

Fuggetaboutit. If you are going family style , Don Peppe is the absolute King. Food is outstanding. Pay your respects to the fellas playing cards at the table in the corner.

Everything is awesome ... bring cash. And lots of it. Eat fast, pay faster. They hate when you loiter. You get, " the look". lol

string bean salad , eggplant rollatini (not on the menu ), linguini with white clam sauce , rigatoni with sausage , veal don peppe - unbeatable

Don Pepes simply the best

Order the house wine . It's pretty tasty and a bottle is only $20

Don't touch the bread until the food comes out. You don't want to fill up and bread is for dipping in the wonderful sauces.

This restaurant was "THE" place a long time ago. In my opinion it's a wanna be hangout now. Over priced pizzaria.

Over priced and under flavored! All the hype I've heard about this place and I'm so disappointed. I've had better clan sauce out of a can.
