For brunch , spot on crispy dark meat chicken and waffles (syrup infused) with a delicious pickle . Also enjoyed the shrimp and grits with a delicious succotash and tomato sauce . Great bar upstairs too.
Sticky buns are a win; the bread pudding is very light and not as tasty as it’s described. The cake slices are big enough for 3ppl
My spouse wanted something non-alcoholic and let me try a sip of he Cherrywine soda . It was sweet but not too sweet; a perfect balance.
Happy Hour drinks & food are delicious. Milk bourbon drink is smoothly sweet, pulled pork sliders (2 for $7) are hefty, and chicken and biscuits sliders are massive portion siR for $9.
The happy hr is good. The belles punch is good drink. Good wine and beer selection . It also has a upstairs bar which makes it easier to find room to sit or hang out.
Beautiful venue and fresh take on southern and Asian cuisine . I really loved the quail with miso butter spaetzle .
Delicious! Shrimp and grits were bomb, as was the squash salad
Best fried chicken and waffles I've had in DC. Perfectly crispy chicken , delicious waffles , and spicy pickled okra all together are a perfect bite!
We picked up the cornbread (perfect!) and the fried peanuts and watermelon . Both were excellent choices.
The WAAAAAY South was a fabulous cocktail ; sweet, smooth, and just the right amount of spice!
Go for crabcakes here - delicious! Fried oysters - great though spicy , so choose wisely 🧐
The only vegetarian main dish was a bowl dish - and it was spicy and enjoyable.
Highly recommend the shrimp and grits - Superb and you don’t see this on the menu everywhere
I was expecting to be blown away by all the reviews, but the food was just okay and nothing to rave about. If you don’t get the sticky buns first thing when they’re made, you’ll get them hard.
Great happy hour , awesome decor.
The sticky bun is so good!
It was really good a few years ago! Was disappointed that our chicken sandwich had bones and didn’t have enough cole slaw . Watered down coffee and no refills :(
Check out the bar upstairs!
Dirty chicken is delicious
Terrible service, a shame because the venue is interesting. Couldn’t even think about the food or drink because everything took so long.
Food was ok, small portions and they overcharged my card. Definitely better places to find in DC.
Happy hour! Not for food! İçmek için çok keyifli bir bar ama yemek için ehhh
If you order the Wayyyy South cocktail (very good) ask for normal ice instead of the trendy huge ice cube that ensures your drink is much smaller. At $13 a cocktail, no need to make it smaller 🤗. - Dana Allen
Live jazz brunch on Sundays. Definitely a grown up crowd. The fish dip is a light, savory starter - Gwynn Turner
The fried chicken & Waffle plate is goodness unexpected! The Waffle is SO light, airy and crispy goodness!! - 1 Sly Minx
Outstanding twists on southern cooking. Fried chicken is great. The appetizers are great. You probably won’t be disappointed with anything you get. - Lenny Gallo
super nachos on the first floor. shredded chicken, jalapenos - Ben Turner
Magnificent collection of both modern art and portraits. The variety of styles, people, and stories makes for an excellent museum day. - L K
The passion fruit tart is perfect. Acidity and tartness offset by a light sweetness and flaky crust. - Eden Ess
