If the kids are bugging you for the blue ice cream , promise them you'll take them to Whipty-Do! afterwards. Exactly the same stuff, but you can feed the entire family for the price of one in the park .
Super fun amusement park . The best day to go is Sunday - least crowded from opening to 5pm.
So much fun here! Went on a Sunday and there weren't too many people and lines were manageable. Be sure to ride Flight of Fear, and if you wear glasses, bring a case for them!
Nothing is more satisfying than the Blueberry ice cream with sprinkles in a fresh waffle cone on a hot summer day!... Mmm Mmm yummy!! 🍦 🍦 🍦
The new Soak City Waterpark features a 39,000-square-foot Wave Pool & Action River , secluded shade-covered areas & cabanas that feature televisions & fans, a pro quality sand volleyball court & more
Spent the evening there with my wife. The real beauty of the season pass is that you can go several times during the season and not have to feel like cramming a years worth of fun into a long day.
For Mystic Timbers and Banshee , you have to rent a locker for ALL loose items. But most other rides, the employees will take your stuff and put it in a bin for you! At CP, you have to do it yourself.
Such a clean park ! Amazing rides as well ... Make sure to hit Diamondback , Banshee and once the sun goes down, take a ride on The Beast at night .
With 15 roller coasters to experience, this place offers a great bang for your buck! Be sure to check out Banshee and The Beast at night !
The Eiffel Tower under construction in May of 1971. At 331 feet 6 inches tall, the tower is a 1/3 scale replica of the real Eiffel Tower in Paris. Read more
It's a great combo amusement park if you live within 3 hours drive of the park . Unlimited refills on souvenir cups day of is a great deal.
Pack a cooler and have a picnic in the parking lot . It's a great way to save money on lunch in the park . This has become a tradition for lots of families that visit Kings Island!
Figured a Sunday in July would be busy, but at 5 after seeing a Reds game, perfect for us. Got to do all the big rides, longest wait was 45 mins for Firehawk . Vortex 20 and Diamondback 30.
It's fun to go for a few hours at night when you get off work. Cooler weather and smaller crowds. Be sure. To ride the beast at night after dark!
Make sure you get the fast lane pass at least once you won't regret it. I rode every ride I wanted to at least four times and the people in the line had a hour to two hour wait.
The Beast is my all time favorite wooden coaster and Diamondback pretty good as well . Try riding the beast after dark for extra fun.
The new Banshee roller coaster is great. But, they do not allow you to carry on any bags or loose items. They force you to buy a locker. Which, I think is very unfriendly to guests to the park .
Eh...My very first roller coaster ride was the banshee ....kept holding for dear life but all in all was really fun and can't wait to go back with my moonpie :P
Ive been coming here and Cedar Point since I was a kid. Has something for everyone. The only thing I miss is Phantom Theater .
Great time. Clean and park is set up very nicely for kids and adults.
Great for families!!! Everything is sooo fun!! Make sure to get dining with your gold passes!! Saves a ton of money on food! (:
Lots of coaster. Diamondback , Banshee , Beast, Racer are the best. Top kids area .
Did you know? Kings Island was built as a replacement for Coney Island , an amusement park that was located on the Ohio River and traced its roots to the 1870s, when it was a popular picnic spot. Read more
Nice size amusement and water park , fun family day. At night the fireworks were nice.
Hadn't been in 15 years but was impressed with Cedar Fair 's management. Got a Sunday deal on tickets + fast lanes, which were clutch. Banshee was cool, but Diamondback was the clear standout for me.
Best place to go for roller coasters if your from the Hoosier state
If you go during the early week (Tuesday, Wednesday), the park is a lot less busy. We went Tuesday and had no wait on 90% of the rides.
Banshee , Diamondback , Firehawk , and blueberry ice cream are the best.
This place is well worth the trip! So many coasters and the lines moved very fast.
This place is an amazing place to spend with your family or friends.. Thrillers, adrenaline junkies, the food tasters come join the fun.
Firehawk is worth the wait if it's down!! Diamondback , The Beats, and Banshee and also musts!!
Line strategy: if you go in the morning, head straight for the back of the park and work your way forward.
You must visit if you're near. I really had a blast. It's a little pricey though, but totally worth it.
Plan your front-seat night ride on The Beast: add 20 mins to posted wait; get in line so you'll be on ride 1 hour after official sunset but before 9:45 fireworks shutdown.
Like any other amusement park , the food is overpriced. Pack lunch in a cooler and leave it in your car. At lunch time, get your hand stamped and eat in the parking lot to save a few bucks.
The nice thing about a season pass is that you can visit over lunch if you're in the area...especially nice if your family is there!
Kings Island has a wonderful selection of flat rides. If you're looking for a fast line , hit up Delirium! That thing eats lines for breakfast !
Firehawk will cause you to lose anything in your pockets! Use the lockers that are only a couple bucks before riding.
Make sure to stop by Rivertown Snake Pit, right next to the Diamondback entrance, and enjoy one of our delicious Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches !
The Banshee at night is awesome! The Diamondback and the Beast are must rides as well .
Try not to go on a holiday. Everyone and their brother, uncle and cousin are up there on holidays.
On April 24, 1977, 27 riders became stuck in the Skyride gondolas on a windy day. Firefighters reached some in an aerial truck with a 24' ladder atop the bucket. Others waited 8 hours for a crane. Read more
Everything! The weather was perfect and the lines weren't bad at all.
Diamondback ride and Banshee and drop zone are the best rides in my opinion.
Since removing the Paramount title, Kings Island is just lackluster to me. Some rides are classics, but the newer Mystic Timbers was just meh.
Get there early to have shorter lines and during a weekday for less local season passholders
There are 438 varieties of frozen lemonade in the park . The only one worth buying is in the candy store across from Graeter's on International Street.
Get the Fastpass but don't bother with Fastpass Plus. Then just do Firehawk and the Beast first.
Come within the first hour of opening and walk-on to almost every ride
Go at night for the Starlight fees at $22 from 5pm-10pm. I was lucky enough to have a full moon view while riding the Beast
Year after year, diamondback does not disappoint. If you like thrill rides, this is a must. - Nathan Poeppelman
The fireworks look great from here too. Then you get a quicker exit. - Nathan Mabry
This was my daughter's favorite. Had to ride the historic wooden coaster. And I have to say, it was amazing. Speeds were amazing for wooden. - Dannielle Brun
While your @ the front gate don't forget your fast lane ticket. It's pricy $$ but worth it!! :$) - Shawn Phillippi
Great rides for the kids. We loved the Flying Ace coaster!! - Kim Miller
Apparently they shut down half the rides during the week as it gets late in the season, including the lazy river and one of the wave pools. - Chris Gibson
Purcase the 3D glasses for $1 and use them all season long. Use them at the snoopy light show too - Kevin Rettig
