Excellent cocktails , fantastic food, super service and such a great performance from Walt on the piano. This place is a must if you visit Seattle, but be sure to book well in advance.
They were unbelievably friendly . The food was superb! They also brought little extras and chocolate to take home. They made our anniversary very special! Just see the attached pic. Definitely go here!
Just I ncredible, with a view overlooking Lake Union second to none. The service was impeccable, and the Somm' went above and beyond. Start with the Canlis salad , definitely get the A5 Wagyu steak .
One of my favorite fine-dining experiences in Seattle . You can never go wrong with the tasting menu . You can choose one of each four courses. Wine menu is divine. Perfect for a special occasion !
Do the chef tasting menu and, make sure to say hi to the owners. The brothers that now run @Canlis are awesome and always walking the floor. It's the best dining experience in Seattle .
a one of a kind restaurant for Seattle, make sure to dress up for this meal. enjoy magnificent views of Lake Union if you're able to get a table near a window
Service, atmosphere, food, wine , music are excellent! I would highly recommend you to visit Canlis for any celebration occasion and don't forget to suit up ;)
As good as it gets in Seattle. I come back repeatedly for the excellent service, phenomenal food and a great experience overall. Bring someone special here and enjoy one of the best meals ever.
Canlis is the epitome of fine dining in Seattle. Harkening on their classical roots, they provide a stellar four course menu. The Canlis wine team maintains one of the best wine list in the city .
Incredible old school NW. If you're not dressed up or just want snacks sit in the lounge . Check out the black phone table--it's where the owner used to sit to spy on his workers--pretty neat
The service is very good; attentive and efficient. Dessert is exemplary - adventurous while executed with finesse. The soufflé is a wonderful example. The mains are (disappointingly) more conventional
Everything was top notch from valet to signing the check. Only negative thing I can say is that the serving size of foie gras is on the large side. A little bit of that stuff goes a long way!
A lovely experience but there are other restaurants in Seattle that are as good or better and way cheaper, just without the view and history.
Hands down the greatest service I've ever got. The good was very excellent. Had the roast duck and it was one of the best things I've ever had. A little on the high end $$ wise, but not by much

The food and service at this fine restaurant really stands out. The staff found the perfect balance between being there and not! They really made for a perfect birthday.
Beautiful n Classy restaurant just outside of Downtown. Go there to celebrate a special occasion n you won't be disappointed. Most importantly, remember to dress up.
Esquire: If we tell you that Canlis is the “epitome of elegance,” you might get the wrong impression. Canlis has fine-tuned a form of hospitality so effortless that a “fancy ” meal feels like a reunion
Incredible food and some of the best hospitality I’ve seen in the US. Incredibly attentive staff .
The Canlis salad is a fresh must but what blows you away is their silky creme brûlée , a masterpiece. The views and architecture is the definition of Seattle.
Excellent fine dining experience with amazing views and vibe and impeccable service . Salsify with blood sausage was delicious
Fantastic views , amazing food. Friendly service by Daniel 💯. Get the soufflé à l’orange 🍊
Get the tasting menu . Wagyu and Uni Panna Cotta dishes are outstanding. Beautiful views of Seattle and service that was not at all stuffy. Definitely a Seattle highlight.
"A stunningly beautiful example of non-ironic retro glamour. A kitchen with 60-some years of tradition that not only knows how to do a proper hunk of bleeding meat, but has taken on chef Jeff Franey."
In 2012, voted in Top 100 of U.S restaurants by Forbes magazine http://www.forbes.com/sites/larryolmsted/2012/03/13/just-released-the-100-best-u-s-restaurants/#339b315e3d02
Absolutely all it's cracked up to be. The epitome of postwar architecture , and the kitchen and wine is to match. It was a lifetime ambition to do dinner here.
You gotta respect the skill and dedication it has taken to keep a fine-dining restaurant going for so long. The food is the best it’s ever been with Chef Jason Franey in the kitchen.-Maria Hines, Top
The Canlis salad is a delicious course not to be passed up. The glazed duck for two is beautifully prepated.
Go for the three course and pair some wine . You will be too full for desert but the food is so amazing... That won't matter.
Canlis is the epitome of fine dining in Seattle with sweeping views of Lake Union . Harkening on their classical roots, they provide a stellar four course menu.
View is amazing, food is yummy, and service is excellent. Must go if you are ever in Seattle
Old school Seattle institution updated with modernist PNW cuisine. Great special occasion spot, killer views .
Skip the tasting menu and wine pairing . Next trip I'd opt for steak tartare and fries in the bar .
Best thing in this place is not actually the food, but ambient, architecture the feeling you get when is inside and service! You feel really pampered, drinks are spot on! Food is just ok.
Canlis restaurant at 11 minutes drive to the south of Seattle dentist Evergreen Smile Studio
This Wine Spectator Grand Award winner (since 1997) features some 2,200 wine selections , 15,000 bottles in its cellar and moderate markups. Strengths include California, France, Washington and Italy.
For the vegans : Canlis graciously prepared a seven course vegan tasting menu and everything was executed perfectly. Happy birthday to me!
Amazing piano player ! Even more amazing is the food. Have the crab cake , foie gras , duck for two, twice baked potato . You'll thank me.
Soufflé is DIVINE. Service is awesome. Great place for a romantic dates .
