This is the spot where we got engaged! About 2/3 of the way up is the spot, with equally amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city skyline. Next stop from here - Buena Vista Cafe !
Walk out to the end of the pier and look back at the city . There is a great Panoramic Stitch opportunity which captures Coit Tower, the Transamerica Building, and Ghirardelli Square.
Behind the Fire House is a little nook with giant chairs chainsawed form Eucalyptus trees next to the water shielded from the wind. A great nook for ocean lovers.
On a clear day great view of the Golden Gate and Alcatraz Island .
