The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is an annual Christmas tree lighting that takes place in NYC's Rockefeller Center, in mid-town Manhattan. The tree is erected and lit in early December or late-November. Has been put up every year since 1931 (except 1932).

Simply incredible. Anytime of the day, the tree is beautiful. There's no way to visit NY and not see the most famous tree of the city .
So beautiful and festive , great music and sites. Great people watching with plenty of Christmas spirit and cheer.
Always a great trip...but the line for the ice skating can take hours so you might want to get in there early in the day if you actually want to get on the ice
"The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear" With Buddy the Elf's love of Christmas , it was only right that he was brought here to see the largest Christmas Tree in NY.
This city is a madhouse! But this is the place with the best atmosphere for the New Year and Christmas holidays. It's wonderful here.
Beautiful! Busy though, so expect photo-bombers in all photos. #worthit
As spectacular as always! The Christmas lights show next door was a great addition to all that you can see here.
Go Monday through Thursday. Less crowded . Or early in the morning before the sun rises to avoid heavy crowds.
Such touristy thing to be there but duhh still amazing and yes body heat will keep you warm 😉😂
The grandaddy of all Christmas Trees has become as synonymous with NY at Christmas as Home Alone 2 and dodging shoppers on Fifth Avenue.
An American tradition. Lots to do in the area. One tip- public rest rooms are few and far between.
Very busy, you can't almost walk...the crowd is one big organism . Kevin would never meet up with mom here at the end of Home Alone 2...they would simply not find each other :).
How can you not love the most beautiful Christmas tree in the world?
Selfie Sticks should be Banned - We had an amazing night out despite the Morons walking down the Crowded street with these obnoxious selfie stick.
Stop and see the tree , it's an NYC tradition for tourists !
Super crowded even in a snowy NYC night but the view of the tree is absolutely worth it.
It's the most iconic Christmas tree in all the world.
This is the meaning of Christmas , where the tree gets lit at the most popular place in the world. Rockefeller Center. I can't wait to see the tree light up next week.
The tree is amazing during Christmastime!
To enjoy the scene, come after midnight ... not crowded & relaxed atmosphere
You can't be in NYC during the holidays and not see the tree no matter how touristy it is
The Christmas tree is a must see.
Go on a WEEK NIGHT, especially around 10:00 P.M. - so nice! ....YOU'LL HAVE LIKE 70% less people getting in your way!!!!
Everything !!!!

So cool! Fun for family activities
Go inside the NBC Universal studio and go upstairs. Amazing view and there's like 10 people up here!
Christmas in NYC = Rockerfeller. It's so bloody festive
Lights are only on from 4:30pm until 10:30pm nightly. That's right, the lights are not on all night, and the guards don't want to hear that you came all the way from Jersey. And don't blame Obama.
It was packed! Best place to see tree without crowds is to approach from Today Show studios/Nintendo World... avoid 5th Avenue!!!
Most beautiful tree on earth.
It's that time of year again... the tree is up! Come to Rockefeller Center and see it now or after it's lit on November 30th. Happy Holidays!
The tree is not lit 24 hours anymore. It goes off @11 or so at night.
Soooo in loveee ❤, just amazing!
It's beautiful and very popular. So come dress warm.
