Try to take the attention of some one is a real challenge if you don't speak chinese. Try the moon cakes and the matcha cake , are amazing/ Que te atiendan es un reto, pero cake la pena. Es delicioso
My personal favorite place for egg tarts in NY. I always get the oval-shaped ones, which have a lovely crumbly cookie crust and aren't overly sweet. The mini egg tarts make a great gift too.
Great ice cream cakes that are fun for a birthday celebration. Order the day before for flavors like coffee , mango , WASABI (!!), etc. Vanilla , chocolate , or red bean are available walk-in.
The selection is really nice. The counter service was very helpful and polite. Everyone is right about the egg custards ...very tasty with a lovely crust.
The queue here is not only a sign that the bakery is tasty, but it means high turnover of the products, with fresh soft yummy buns available. Recommend: sweet cream filled bun dusted with coconut .
A great overall bakery , we especially like the Portuguese egg custard tart and the slices of plain roll cake .
I love their individual rolls. They taste so good. Try all of them! The tuna one is my favorite.
The custard pastries were very nice. Sesame ball was delicious. Got a nice box of assorted pastries for $15.
Bring a Cantonese speaker or get out your fighting gloves, people mean business here. One of the few places I've found Portuguese style dan tat, which have a way better texture than regular egg tarts
if you're prepared to make dessert into a meal - head over here and try all their varieties of egg custard ! - original, papaya , green tea - so many to try!
This is the only bakery I’ve found that makes tuna fish buns (my favorite)
Fresh authentic Chinese pastries and breads.Love their birthday cakes . Try the fresh mango cake especially in the summer when it's in season.
Portuguese style custard tarts , papaya custard tarts , egg white custard tarts , elliptical custard tarts ... get the idea? ;-)
The Chinatown place to go for "don taht" egg custard tartlets. If nothing else, try the excellent Portuguese egg custards !
Pick up tongs and a tray in the back and help yourself to the baked goodies . When you have everything you need, set the tray on the counter to get in line to pay or order stuff behind the counter.
Can't go wrong with all the bread and pastries available here!
Their prices are higher than other bakeries but their "dan ta" is 2nd best compared to Manna House although the Portugese tan da is excellent but it comes with the extra calories!
Their cakes are amazingly delicious! I can't read anything in the bakery so I call and order on the phone lol.
Chicken pie and beef curry puffs
the tray is very important. it represents your position on line . the ladies behind the counter will only acknowledge people with trays.
A very light crust that's just a bit too crumbly for our tastes, but not bad. The filling has a natural pale looking color and tastes like what we are looking for: light, eggy, and not too sweet. Read more
On a packed day, staff circulated and actually sought us out to see what we wanted - in English, too.
Does custom cakes ! Delicious and finished on time.
I had the coconut tart - it's pretty good!
Very busy. Their delicious tarts run out at around 6pm. Also try the mochi rice balls !
Must get egg custard tarts !
Red bean 🫘 pastry on a winters morning before work 🙌
Mini mooncakes, little flakey chicken pies , all sorts of pork buns
Wanted to try something new, glad I did. Sesame buns are amazing.
Best egg custard tarts in the city , especially the Portuguese tarts .
綠茶蛋撻 (green tea egg tarts ) is where it's at!
Good pastries , the pork buns are real good here too
Such a great selection of buns ! How to choose one?!
try the portuguese egg tart !! you won't regret it :)
Best Portuguese egg tarts in Manhattan!
Nice place.
Best egg custard tarts in Chinatown (pick the Portuguese style one)
The Portuguese egg tart is the best!
The egg tarts . They are yummy and cheap
Love the cantonese steam buns and pastries
Solid quick bite in Chinatown and the bread is solid
It's usually very busy...you have to be pushy and get the attention of one of the ladies to take your order. Pricier than other bakeries ...it has a name.
Chicken pot pie is delicious and filling
Great pork buns
Best breakfast noodles . And delicious baked goods . And amazing banana smoothies
Egg custard varieties are plentiful!
Try the Durian Cake (via @Foodspotting)

Favourite bakery in Korea Town! All pastries are fresh daily and their morning coffee and croissant combo is gold. - Sanam Lakhwara
I've had over 6 cakes here and my strongest recommendation still goes out to the Blueberry Chiffon Cake. You can't go wrong! - Betty
best and cheapest place in Chinatown to get groceries. Their produce prices can't be beat & they have an awesome selection of frozen dim sum. - Sally Schmidt
Kumquat lemon bubble tea. Tangy and refreshing. Can't go wrong with that - Zhian Liu
The hot deli section offers one of the best values in manhattan. Roast duck and bbq pork combo over rice for only $7.50. Enough portion for two meals and super delish. For to go only though. - Sam Hsu
