This place has great food and wine . The prix fixe menu is a great value with great food and quality ingredients. Service is top notch and attentive. Wine selection is impressive.
$38 prix fixe menu . Items served change every night, but everything is good. Highly recommend, just make sure you check the menu on their website beforehand, and make sure to grab a reservation !
The food, by chefs Jason Halverson and Ryan Cerizo, changes nightly, but one sterling option on the relatively affordable menu was the Garganelli Bolognese pasta . Read more
Not too big though very loud but... delicious food (have the full menu and add BOTH pasta dishes) and wines surprisingly reasonably priced by SF standards.
Trestle is the best value, high style restaurant in town . The menu changes nightly, but the atmosphere and service (and affordable wine list ) are icing on the cake . Read more
Excellent concept, good food and great ambiance for a small restaurant . A place for all ages. The only thing that could be said is it is a bit noisy , but I guess it is always full and a bit small...
Really good value modern American restaurant . $35 for 3 courses. Cute little restaurant and attentive service . Don't expect Michelin stars but really well-made food.
Respectably good but very loud . Soups memorable. You won't regret trying all the pasta supplements that day (share)! Can sub in as your main. Brown butter financier >>>> chocolate .
An intimate dining experience with great quail and dessert options . Request their bread ! It's toasted perfection upon arriving at your table. Also enjoyed their quail , perhaps as much as State Bird's.
Prix fixed menu at $35 - incredible value. Every dish was wonderful. Definitely opt for the additional pasta for $10 - not huge and outstanding. Good comes fast and hot. Awesome. Go.
An excellent meal for the price. Be sure to add the pasta dishes as you might be left a little hungry. Great bottles of wine for around $50. The crackling fish was surprisingly awesome.
Our starters, pasta supplements , and sea bass main were excellent. The short rib main and the choc mousse deserts were quite average. The ambiant noise actually works well with the close tables. Ymm
Prix fix is amazing and worth way more than the $35. The pasta add-on options are also incredibly delicious
$35 prix fix for a 3 course meal--an amazing deal and good quality food. The quail is mind blowingly delicious
Really enjoyable meal with a prix fixe menu . Seating is quite tight but service is excellent. Really good value for money .
Prefix menu is a great deal. Recommend adding pasta side to prefix menu. Very high quality food and service!
Excellent food in perfect proportion in a warm and inviting space. Definitely add the pasta course!
Prix fixe is the best deal in town ! Don't miss the pasta supplement !

Good service and the prix fixe menu is nice. A little pricey but it's French and SF... 4/5
Choose a night with a menu that sounds good and you won't be disappointed. Great value for SF dining!
Go with a date and order the opposite of each other so you can taste everything!
The $10 pasta supplement was well worth it!
Price for fixed tasting menu is outstanding! Food and service was excellent!
Get the pasta supplement , it's worth it!
Food is excellent and memorable and a steal at $35. Wine is pricy despite the claimed "low markup".
The fixed price menu is extremely affordable and somehow the quality of a far more expensive restaurant ... crowded and noisy but worth it
Great beer selection and affordable wine list . Pasta is a must.
Prix fixe only which is great for group dinners where you are trying to cap costs.
Try the pasta supplements ! The spicy bolognese was one of the highlights.
The bill comes with a fun little guest book ....
The duck is fucking amazing! No really it's one of the best things I've ever eaten.
Coursed menu, not a lot of choices there. Salmon salad and white chocolate tart was a meh to me. I enjoyed the bass but it was after all not so impressive for me.
$38 pre fixe with optional $10 pasta what's not to like
Every dish was great. Amazing service too
Mains are amazing, desert not so much. Overall strong.
$35 prix fixe is a great deal!
Best prix fixe menu in town !
It's a great deal! Really delicious food
Prix fixe menu .. Always changing ... $35 per person
A bit noisy , but the service and food are excellent.
I knew this meal deal was too good to be true! Dishes lacked flavor and creativity. Big let down
Really good food and friendly staff .
Food is cooked well but the flavours didn’t really compliment each other
Pasta dish is a must!
Great pre-fixe!
Sunchoke risotto...out of this world.
Get the pasta .
Food is good... Service not so much.

Highly recommend the prix fixe for dinner, great value. Standouts were the steelhead cod and blood orange panna cotta. - Gavin Schulz
This place has amazing ambiance and strong drinks! What more can you ask for! - John Le
Carson the bartender is awesome! I had way too many GREAT cocktails there. I tried three sworn enemies (with the gold dust) and the one in the pic and another that I don't remember😅 I recommend it - Heba-I-am
Excellent bookstore and with a rich Beatnik history. Photos of Kerouac et.al. abound. - California Girl
