The best sunset is here and some of the performers are great.
Lot of fun for small kids and adults; unusual in that adults pay to ride the carousel and toddlers under 3 are free. Length of ride: good. Speed: a bit faster than other carousels like the LA Zoo .
Its the only pier I know with drive on parking its ten dollars but its the easiest parking in L.A. Drive under the "World Famous Santa Monica Pier " sign and right onto the pier .

Being a roller coaster fan the West Coaster is one of my favorite rides, this steel-track roller coaster races along the side of the pier, the view of the ocean as you dip and dive is phenomenal - ℳ????????♍
