I've taken my children to many museums . This children's museum is by far the best we've ever been too. Ian in the painting area was so nice and great with the kids. He was teaching them about colors.
From story time readings and cooking classes to outdoor explorations and interactive art studios , kids of all ages (and grown-ups) can enjoy themselves while having fun and learning at the same time.
This is a fun place. However, they are in the midst of a huge renovation, so the existing exhibits are showing a lot of wear & tear. I look forward to taking kids again when the new building opens.
There are a lot of great areas for my preschooler and toddler to explore. We like to go weekdays in the afternoon when it is less busy.
A great place for children and adults. All the activities are fun and will entertain you and your children for hours. We have been members for 2 years and will continue to renew.
Currently under renovation but still a great place to take kids. You can walk down the river or play on the outdoor playground if the weather is nice
This whimsical, imagination-stimulating exploration for kids 10 and under offers more than a dozen “playscapes ,” including a fire department, an assembly plant and a tot-sized veterinary clinic .
A decent kids' museum . The Activity area — where kids build real stuff with real tools — was a hit. Watch out, though, construction closes some exhibits .
Great interactive exhibits . Good for a variety of ages. Beautiful view of Denver
My kid loves it here. She could spend all day in the kinetic lab. Can't wait for the expansion to open!

Did you know? Founded in 1973, the Children’s Museum of Denver was originally a traveling exhibit . The museum’s first home was a converted school bus .
Very fun interactive museum for children. Excited for the construction to finish.
No school groups on Mondays so it tends to be a bit quieter . If you have little ones arrive when it opens and head upstairs first.
Use the scientific method in the bubbles exhibit to test various experiments and increase your math skills as you measure results of light infraction, surface tension, diameter & height, and more! Read more
Best children's museum I've been to yet! Thanks Denver. PS....Make it an all day event .
Great children's museum . Little one loved building the rocket and launching it.
Ride the light rail to Union Station, walk to the Children's Museum of Denver and let your little one (s) run around and get all tired. Walk to lunch at the Starbucks inside REI.
If your little one is kind of shy try the train room or the room with the big tree & tunnel .
If you dislike crowds, their special events days are to be avoided. Go first thing in the morning or on a random day, but call to confirm it isn't a school visit day.
Looking for something to do after - the REI flagship store and Little Man Ice Cream are just up the road .
Bring a swimsuit for the backyard !
This kids museum rivals the best. A great space for the youngest and activities for the oldest.
