Schiphol Airport Railway Station

This station can be confusing. Buy tickets before going downstairs and check train diagrams as not all stations may be listed for each train departure. Express bus often faster than going to Centraal!

Don't forget to swipe your chip card ticket before you go down to the platform and also at the exit when you get off.

I’ve airport but make sure you have MasterCard if you want to go to the city by bus since that’s the only way you can buy the ticket from the driver even though I recommend taking train

Difficult station for tourists as tracks change often. The railway information people are not always friendly and very short in their information which makes it even more diffult for foreigners.

Connects you to many destinations. Tickets can be bought via yellow machines upstairs.

It’s a pretty big airport and it has everything you need before and after a flight . Easy to navigate , staff is friendly , gold star from me 👌

Tracks 1-2 for trains to the north (including Amsterdam Central Station ), 3-4 for trains to the east, 5-6 for trains to the south (including The Hague, Rotterdam)

Simple & large train station below the airport . You need to buy your tickets at the Plaza and then go to your platform . If you have your ov-chipkaart then you need to check-in also at the Plaza .

Don't forget to touch your ticket if you have a multi-trip time limited one! There's lots on the airport concourse, near the escalators - we didn't spot any after that!

Very comfortable station basically inside the airport . Excellent idea!

Loads of shops but noehere near cheap ! Be sure to get your coffee or cappuccino from HEMA as it is nice and strong and by far best value for money .

You can buy tickets upstairs. If you're planning to travel more often, buy a 'OV-chipkaart'.

Dutch banks think Visa & MasterCard debit cards are credit cards, places refuse them - weirdly fine with same cards on ApplePay - by train remember to touch in tix before you go down to the platforms !

Check out the screens with departing trains . Some trains won't tell you which track , but which platform it departs. Be aware of getting the right train !

When going to the platforms be aware of the slack jawed morons that stop right at the end of the escalator. Every bloody time

You can but a ticket for €5 and go straight to Amsterdam Centraal . Very efficient and easy.

Trains to almost any big city in the netherlands. Direct under the airport .

Go to the ticketing office behind the red and white chequered cube to use a non chip and pin enabled credit card. Take your passport along.

Very confusing train station , you think the monitors would show train times and they show flights... only one monitor show train times. Always very busy, but never feels unsafe.

Layover in Amsterdam? Trains run to Amsterdam Centraal all day and can get you into the city centre in 15 minutes.

If you buy a ticket for the wrong thing (train/tram) you can go to the office and get a refund as long as it isn't used.

Don’t forget to check in the posts are very hard to spot and easy to miss haha

Always read the sign boards and displays. Because trains can be move to different platform or cancel.
