Kata Beach

Beautiful beach , as you'd expect, but can get kind of busy, especially during holidays like Chinese New Year .

Nice and clean white sandy beach . but be aware of the jet ski or any other equipment rental they always try to fool and ask you pay for the equipment, make stories like its broken because of you etc

At the southern end of the beach , there's a bunch of fishermen (fans of noisy reggae ) selling bbq seafood and cold booze at deep low prices (100 baths only for jumbo prawns ). Starting at sunset .

The beach at Club Med can be pretty quiet , especially if it's not during a big holiday like Lunar New Year, and you never know what kind of sea life you'll see! ????

If there's a storm near India / Sri Lanka, the water on the beaches here can get pretty big waves and become quite murky, even if you don't actually get any rain or wind.

Such a gorgeous little cove, lots of little stalls selling yummy crepes and fruit shakes . Beach was quite busy and everybody seemed to have a Thai woven beach mat. Lovely water and great atmosphere.

One of the best beaches on Phuket. Since there are no sunbeds there are few people in the middle of the beach but it became much dirtier.

look for the lady renting hammocks under the trees and secretly selling ice-cold beer from her mini-van parked across the street :) ????????????

A very nice beach , not so noisy , clean . Especially in the evening, you can admire the beautiful sunset ...

Look for fun reggae boys at southern part of the beach . They sell cheap and taste seafood with some cool brewery . They are here at sunset .

There is a pretty good surfing club , but the surfing lessons are quite expensive ,so I would suggest you to take a board and have a go by your self. Its actually quite fun))

Great, well developed beach . Avoid swimming next to cafes - better go to the center of the ????

Nice and clean . Very serene in the morning .. perfect for an early morning run on the beach .

Lots of cute little boats as well ! They were for hire, although I didn't end up doing this, I saw lots of people on them and they seemed to be having a great time.

It has it all! Picturesque view , island , nice restaurants , surfing schools. I left my heart there!

The best place is in the middle of the beach . Good service . Recommend to try watermelon shake , it's very tasty and fresh.

Sunrise- hardly anyone about. Red flags. Water warm. Two guys fishing . Three tourists (one under 5) swimming at 7amish. Random dogs on the beach with no owners about.

Always like Kata beach after 10 years off living in that area. Nice beach and you can find a nice quite spot for yourself

Long beach . Plenty of activities. The size makes it feel not too crowded .

Nice water color, cosy beach . BUT! Dirty , plastic bags in water, overcrowded, many natives swimming right in clothes . Like Karon more

Better than patong for sure, but more pricey . Just get some fruits from the market there for lunch as av.price is 1k b.

Nice public beach area but come early because this place gets crowded on a sunny day!

Really beatifull beach , but you have only 2/3 ways to go to the beach because the Club Med is built along the all beach !

Get yourself a chair in the shade and a fruit smoothie (with or without rum !) and enjoy!!

Nice beach but there are swimming zones, therefore very crowded . I prefer karon beach .

Staying at Kata Beach Resort is a wonderful way to enjoy everything that Kata Beach has to offer!

A great beach with fine sand.

Sea is great. But the sunbed 's staff are crazy. One of them yelled at guy after he took sunbed that was reserved .

The best area to sunbath is the north end of the beach :) less busy ☀☀

I wouldn't recommend swimming in the lagoon near the rocks as the water tends to get really dirty there, plus the sand is nicer on the other side of the beach .

PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON THE BEACH IN THE DARK!!! WE WERE ROBBED!!!TWO GUYS CAME UP THREATENING WITH KNIVES AND STOLE OUR BAG WITH PHONES AND MONEY! THE WORST HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD!

clear and shallow beach . good for diving as well . bring own food and snack is a good idea.

Don't lay down near the stairs where the most of the people. Walk near 100 meters to the less cluttered space

Was expecting more. No convenient parking , no convenient approach to the beach . Though, admit: sand was clean , water was pure
