Gastro Cafe Kallio

Excellent breakfast ! Go for the bread basket as their bread is baked right there in the kitchen. Not that many tables so a reservation comes in handy on the weekends.

Keidas closed its doors. Now there's a new cafe called Gastro Cafe Kallio. Owners are the same and the bread is still great!

One of my favorite cafes , from its amazing weekend brunch , great service and a wonderful relaxing vibe . A must visit if you are ever in Kallio :)

The brunch wasnt excatly great value (16,5€). The dessert table is superb but the bread buffet has (on Sundays) old & quite dry bread and no cheese , ham etc..fix this, lower the € & it'll be perfect!

Sunroot soup with fresh goat cheese was delicious. Monkfish with bacon , cheddar mashed potatoes and sea coral was good but way too salty. The service was ok, not the best.

Ridiculously addictive bread . If you leave with one thing from here though, buy the granola . The perfect gift and take away ..

No more buffet brunch but the all-day breakfast is equally good. Have eggs flemari with salmon !

I came here for pancakes because they were mentioned on their website. When I got there, there was no pancakes because "the menu on our website is just an example". Wtf? Never mess with pancakes !

Try the brunch on saturdays and sundays (11-16). Very nice!

Great food and atmosphere

Had breakfast there once: undercooked porridge , lacking ingredients for half of the breakfast menu , nothing on offer for my lactose-intolerant mum... hopefully just bad luck that time, but still! :/
