These gardens are some of the best and most peaceful botanical gardens I've been to. It's free, except the glass house . Plan to spend a few hours her because it's beautiful. There's food inside.

One of the most peaceful places in edinburgh, you can relax and just enjoy the weather (as much as it's possible in Scotland) and nature:)

Nathan Williams

This was really great place went to the light show and wow what a great experience. The different displays in each section were really good and mesmerising. This is one of the best light shows.

Best place to spend the afternoon when it’s sunny. Great for relaxing and picnic . Has a good infrastructure, clean toilets , pleasant nature all around. Beautiful view of the city !

Lovely to wander round if you are stuck for something to do, the gardens are free but the greenhouses cost £7 (well worth it). It also has an amazing shop filled with botanical gifts and plants.

Beautiful gardens that are totally free to visit all year round. Greenhouses, if you are interested, are worth the extra money too, it's not just one tiny room but a whole sprawling area.
