In 1920, the stadium hosted the 7th Olympic Games during which the Olympic Flag was raised and the Olympic Oath was sworn for the very first time and 2626 athletes competed in 29 disciplines.

Sfeer op en rond het veld was zeer grimmig. Sandwich'kes in spelershome waren wel van uitstekende makelij.
