MacArthur Park is one of the last undeveloped strips of land on Florida's barrier islands . Home to loggerheads , terns, mangroves and fiddler crabs . Check out the mangrove trails on Munyon Island too!
I used to got there decades ago when John was alive and would visit. It was called airforce beach then.
Palm Beach isn't just for the ultra-rich. There are surrounding towns with affordable hotels and condos . Don't miss the nature programs and beach-combing at this gorgeous park . -Senior Editor
Snorkel , kayak , hunt for seashells and so much more at this wonderful beach
Even though the park is on the ocean it is not an easy trip to get to the beach . Especially with kids and/or supplies.
Very beautiful and not crowded ! Only beach I have seen with no bells-and-whistle tourist trap shops. My new favorite beach !
Take advantage of the free nature tours at 10am daily. The guides are really informative.
Beautiful! Watch for ghost crabs . The nice nature center has a loggerhead sea turtle . Cute . Rock reef very picturesque.
Looks like the reef was hit hard this past winter and lots of sand build up. For now skip it and go to Peanut Island or The Breakers if you are looking to go snorkeling .
Great shade on the walking trails and great sunshine on the beach !
One of the best boardwalks across the intracoastal, amazing views
Voted Best Kayaking for 2010 -"Paddle past the mangroves into the pull of a light breeze and enjoy the uninterrupted chorus of insects"
Ice Cream has arrived at our gift shop.....and the extra crunchies are free if it makes to the beach !
