A true pioneer in San Diego beer , and an ardent supporter of local/quality food. Pizza is what's up here, with veggie & vegan options galore. Amazing charcuterie (house made). Nate says: soyrizo + ????
At this beacon of the Normal Heights neighborhood is a quality lineup of beer , house-brewed and otherwise, and a local farm driven-menu of tasty pizzas and salads . [Eater 38 Member]
One of our local favorites. They were one of the firsts in the artisan pizza movement in SD. Belgian Frites , egg & bacon and marinara are my favorites. Get a side of marinara for crust dipping .
Great beer list . On Draft Magazines list of America’s best beer bars every year they’ve been open. Had the Lost Abbey Carnivale
The crispy polenta is a good small entree that's rich but makes for a relatively light dinner .
Located in the heart of Normal Heights, BLAH is a craft beer lovers paradise. Specializing in artisan pizzas & craft brews , their tap list is never ending, and their pies to share are mouthwatering!
The revolving selection of Blind Lady Ale House is never boring.. You will find something to suit your tastes. It's hard to go wrong with what is offered by Automatic Brewing Company.
Great beer selection and they also make some of the best pizza I've ever had. There is also a great place next door if you want to drink harder stuff lol.
Gone are the days of tasteless, see-through beers & fried foods at bars . Now you get fresh, locally sourced food prepared by people who care about taste & a variety of local craft brews for pairing.
Best damn pizza and beer in the area. Such a rad place to hang. Definitely on my list of favorite local spots
At this beacon of the Normal Heights neighborhood is a quality lineup of beer , house-brewed and otherwise, and a local farm driven-menu of tasty pizzas and salads .
The Belgian Frites are delish and the rotating house-made dipping sauces really take them over the top! My personal favorite is the curry ketchup .
Stand in line to the left and order a craft beer to quaff while you wait for a seat to open up. Then, stand in line to the right and utter these two words: Salsiccia Pizza .
This place is awesome. Come here with the wee one because it's her favorite place in the world. Even had her ninth birthday party here
Great beer list . Can do in visual tasters of automatic brewing company beers .
Try the Kale , Spinach , and Trumpet Mushroom Pizza with Cauliflower Puree, Fontina , Pickled Romanesco Cauliflower , Lemon Zest and Walnuts - #vegan #vegetarian
Pesto Pizza and Pork Belly Pizza are both yummy.
We love seeing the BLAH kitchen crew stop by for fresh produce from Suzie's Farm and others every week. The pros know, yo!
1 of Draft Magazine's 2014 best 100 beer bars in the US http://draftmag.com/features/americas-100-best-beer-bars-2014/
Best ale house in the city . You might not like every beer they have on tap , but you can be sure that the varieties they have are the top of that type of beer . More than just "fat dude beer " here!
Try out the Cell Phone Booth - very quiet to talk on your cell & Red light come on when you close the doors
This is a tip from a produce company, but try the Bacon & Egg Pizza - you won't be sorry! (Their salads & seasonal pizzas are spectacular as well )
Love their egg and bacon pizza ! Surprisingly good (and probably good for hangovers too)!
While this place has good beer on tap and tasty pizza , the hipster staff will remind you that you aren't cool enough...unless you are like most of the customers who badly need to be seen.
Great selection of local brewskies! Come early on the weekend to grab a table, it gets crazy packed!
Beer snobs galore, no good vibes, loud , soulless. Take me to any dive bar that has 2 good taps, forget the mile long list.
I haven't had a bad pizza yet! Great thin crust pizza !
Had a great time with a few friends during progressive Fridays with $2 and $3 beers I didn't have any food but the pizza looked good
Tap list is tops, but always get one of their Automatic beers when available - some of the best & rarest beer around.
The vegan soyrizo pizza is where it's at
Can't decide between 2 pizzas ? Get 1/2 and 1/2 ... and just pay price for the more spendy pizza . Do it!
The Salsicca Pizza (with house-made sausage ) is Amazing! With a Capital A! And the Lil Bowl of Olives was awesome too :)
Loud , and Carb Heaven. If you like tasty beer and thin crust pizza a definite must.
Bacon & egg pizza is soooo freaking good, really cool ambience
Amazing atmosphere, and a large selection of beer to wash down their perfectly portioned pizza .
The craft beer selection is always good and then there is the pizza .
I don't know how this is one of the top 100 craft bars in the U.S. When I went, the beer selection was average and more focused on food
via vegsandiego.com: "Offering several vegan items including marinara pizza , vegan pesto , Soyrizo, salads and seasonal veg-based specialties."
If you love pizza , then you must stop into BLAH. Some of the best pizza I've ever had.
Can't say enough about the beers in this place... so try the pizza (vegan pesto and vegetarian are good -ask for no cheese ).
Beer lovers paradise with great pizza !
Great pizza and small batch craft beers !
Some of the best craft and local beers are found here.
Little hipster , but the beer selection is on point. Try their Belgian list
All the food was great and many vegan options !
pizza here is fantastic. love BLAH!!
If you order the spicy salami pizza do not neglect the sauce that comes with it. THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT!
An epic craft beer and pizza joint. Even better now that they expanded the space. Try the Margherita pizza
Loves the extra anchovies
Egg and bacon pizza is like a party in your mouth!!! A must try in order to call yourself a local
nice new brewery in the area... dog friendly (of course) and the me so honey is delicious! - Joey Hernandez
Amazingly busy, but the superb and extensive draft selection is worth the wait. - Ellie Pines
Try the hazy! - Zombiemarble
Decent selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Mostly local NH crowd. - Roger Ma
the best place in the neighborhood for a pint of Guinness...and to my knowledge the only place that does a two step pour... - Kenn Bashaw
Beautiful place to have a few cocktails. Try sticking to the ones that aren't so sweet. - Jeff Weinstein
