This was the most organized experience I've ever had getting a new license . Relatively fast, the workers were friendly , and the location was well-lit with lots of windows.

If you're registering a used car you just bought, the signed title must be notarized before the DMV can register your car. You also need emissions and any proof of insurance (and license , obviously)

If you're just renewing registration, don't even take a number. Just go to the registration window (sometimes there is a line , but it's always faster)

Avoid going in the first two weeks of the new year. Wait times can be around 2 hours.

You can not get a 21+ license until your actual birthday. If you are waiting thinking you can fill out the paperwork... You can't.

Temporary registration also serves as proof of address for driver license address changes. Who knew!!?

Document with your physical address also required for renewal . Must be official bank statement or delivered by mail.
