A great Youngs pub that hasn't changed much in the 30+ years I've been coming here! Good beer from Wells & Youngs plus regular guest beers .

Waterstones

Dickens' drinking establishment of choice. The former residence needs nothing more to cement its literary heritage, but was also one of the original meeting places for the Bloomsbury Publishing Group.

JESSICA

Sunday night pub quiz is a good one, be sure to book to make sure you get a table.

Jon Curnow

Great pub . If you're thinking of booking somewhere for your own event there's a nice upstairs room with a private bar .

Önder Bingöl

go for the young's double chocolate stout . a fine english pub but it wouldn't be in my top 5 list in london. "the princess" near holborn is beyond comparison.

Jay le Tee

DNA 'new world' (red) IPA a welcome and surprise find in a Youngs pub , great old world feel and top-notch service

Daniel Kolodziej

One of my fav old school london boozers . It has a snug! ????

Paul Wright

Lovely quiet Youngs pub . Always feel at home here. Winter Warmer well kept.

Shannon O'Flynn

Proper traditional English pub - right in the centre of London!

Lucas Sekula

Quirky olde worlde pub with good ale . Worth a stop in!

Tony Tickle

If you live north of Watford you will balk at a pint costing £4.30 for average ale

Mona

Nice little pub with mulled cider :)

Billy Sayers

Lovely old pub selling good ales .

Henry Thompson

Diabolical way too busy, people in suits pissed up and shouting and shoving past at every turn, food was ok, beer us ok, won’t be back.

Ierax Holargeus

It’s a yes from me! One of those small time-travelling places.

Tom Cowell

The pies are great. The Carignan red is drinkable, and the Tribute ale is mild and mannered. It's a Young's pub , with all the specialty bottles.

Rachel Chen

There is a lovely little courtyard out back, perfect for long summer days.

Anthony Popeo

Fun trivia on Sunday nights. ????

Ally Clow

Impress your friends by telling them the Bloomsbury set including Virginia Woolf used to drink here.

Liam Proven

Proper old-fashioned London pub . Decent ale , food OK if a tad pricey . Lovely décor. Read more

Ioana LoreDana

Cute garden beer !

Andrew Ellis

Classic 187 year old boozer ...

Mydog Minton

Sausage & Mash was fairly average (3pm on a Sunday, maybe they were concentrating roasts).

John Wilson

Great traditional pub with good memories. But the beer 's a bit steep!

Joanna Burton

Old fashioned .

Jason Devenny

Play the polyphone

Anthony Zacharzewski

Such slow service if you aren't right at the front of the bar .

Andrew

Good luck trying to get a Sunday roast . There was an unspecified wait of 'about half an hour' for ours, so we didn't bother. Good business tip: plan ahead for when customers might try to eat.
