Absolutely delicious! The service is so quick, friendly and has a great casual feel to the place. My absolute favourite is the Shio Ramen . It's buttery, light and delicious in every way. Gyoza too!
I love shio ramen best with fat BBQ pork and medium richness on the soup . Shio allows u to taste ur pork bone soup best. Others are too rich in flavour and covers that up.
Best ramen shop I have eaten at in North America, with the only possible exception being Ippudo in NYC. Cheese ramen was excellent, but the spicy garlic ramen was even better. Handmade noodles = great
Kintaro ramen is simply life-changing. The broth is mouthwatering and the bowls are massive. Arrive before 11:45am to get a seat before the line forms.
Great Ramen ! Don't get the soup too rich or the pork too fatty. I find medium soup a little heavy too. If it wasn't for the lines , I would come here more often!
Miso ramen is very good, meat is super delicious! Portion size is large. Price is lower then you'd expect.
The miso ramen is their speciality here; a bit salty for my taste but delicious. The BBQ Pork ramen has more meat if you're really hungry!
The Spicy Garlic is the one of my favorite bowls of ramen ever! Go for the fatty pork , and add some kimchee to the bowl and you're in for a treat!
The cheese ramen is not to my liking. Others may like it though. The pork slices are very generous. Go for the fat ones, they are actually lean meat with layered fat.
The Ramen is tasty and you get a generous portion for great value . On a side note, you CAN'T split the bill, and there is a min. $ purchase required per customer so you can't share an order.
You can choose level of fattiness for both the broth and the pork . Solid ramen joint!
Spicy garlic ramen !!! So good! And generous portion too!!
Great ramen in huge servings!
Had the cold ramen which they only offer in the summer--delicious! I understand why people rave about this place so much
Been coming here for years, before all the competition moved in all around. Usually get Miso with extra char siu but tried the special spicy with extra extra garlic today. Not recommended unless you'r
It's not worth the wait. It's not worth it even if you don't have to wait. One of the less appetizing ramens I've had in Vancouver. ????
Portion size is good but too much bean sprouts in ratio to the noodles but the cha siu is definitely tasty.
Everything especially cheese ramen and garlic spicy
Lineup is a bit long but its worth it! Try the Cheese ramen its bestest!
Fat pork . Fat pork . Fat pork . All the fat pork . Please put it in my bowl.
The best ramen in town ! I love miso ramen , med & lean, extra corn !
The origin of ramen in Vancouver , worth a try.
Hungrier? The Vegetable Miso Ramen is generally a slightly larger serving than their carnivorous counterparts. Sometimes I order a side of BBQ pork if I'm really hungry.
Chose the medium broth, but still a little too salty and overpowering for me. Huge portion though.
Best Ramen in town ! Do yourself a favour & get the gyoza as well ! Must have the cold ramen in the summer!
A lot of varieties here, but I like Sanpachi or Santouka more. Motomachi down the street is a better choice too.
Spicy garlic ramen is best in town
Spicy garlic ramen with light pork and light broth was not good. Look better than it taste. Did not finish.
They will only seat you if you have enough people, so don't think you can have one person lineup for all!
Cheese ramen is not so amazing. I like Santouka more than Kintaro!
Best ramen in vancouver ! miso is the most popular and my favorite =]
Get the fatty pork . Was jealous of it while I ate my ramen .
Cash or canadian debit cards only.
Shio ramen...perfect!
try the new spicy miso garlic ramen & add the hanpayaro pork for special treat. this is a dish you won't forget!
If you love Garlic - go for the Spicy Garlic Ramen - oyishiii. :)
This is the ultimate rainy day comfort food - hence the perpetual lineup outside.
spicy garlic ramen is good
The ramen was super salty and left a very bad after taste. We are regulars and had never experienced this before. Hope it was just an off night. Will give it another try before giving up on Kintaro.
Used to be my fav ramen until I tried the other place. The fat cha Siu is not bad.
I would go back to vancouver just for a bowl of Kintaro's Miso Ramen .
Lee Cooper, chef of L'Abattoir, eats here on his nights off. He loves the BBQ pork ramen . Read more
Try the Miso Ramen - A sure way to warm up in Vancouver! Yummy!
Charges for takeout containers! Minimum 8.95 per person and no green tea offered.
There's a minimum purchase per person and cash or debit card only (no credit card). The ramen was just okay.
All is good
Great ramen , but they will not let you split the bill, move seats if needed, get takeout , and they rush you in and out like cattle. They're just getting more rude as time goes on, very disappointing.
Cheese ramen ! Best ramen in Vancouver ! Line up early!
Did the chef get replaced or something? Doesn’t live up to the hype anymore.
spicy garlic ramen ????
Tsukemen Ramen - dipping noodle! Get the yaki ishi (hot stone) to warm up your broth! - Melissa C
Portions are huge! I like the savoury-sweet tsukemen with chicken karaage. - Melissa
Best pot stickers / gyoza in town. Taiwan style nommm nomzzzz - K.C.
The Bresilienne with crispy waffle is sooo yums:) place is a bit small but totally worth the wait!! - Tiffany Cheung
For those shopping for seafood: Grab some BARRAMUNDI fish from the frozen seafood section. It's easily one of the best fish you can get in Canada. - Sifat
We skipped dinner and went for dessert instead - both the trifle & diplomat were ridiculously delicious!!! - Muerta Rico
