Chelsea is now a non-profit Indy theater . It’s been totally remodeled inside. Best small theater in the triangle. Get a membership to help them out with operating costs and you get a ticket discount
The only place in Chapel Hill that shows independent films . They have beer and wine , and cheap snacks , and there is a door that lets you to go to Cup-a-Joe next door without leaving the theater
I appreciate that I can see movies there that I wouldn't find other places, but the theaters are horrible! Uncomfortable seating cramped theaters. $7.50 for a matinee is too much for this experience.
Plays some amazing indie films and it has a coffee shop attached next door.
