This whole area is fantastic to explore the lake and campgrounds are all excellent. I would recommend the overflow sites by the lake at Pleasant Harbor and the regional park RV sites are also great
Fantastic park . Marina is 100% dog friendly (if on a leash!) and the Kayak rental place is awesome. $25 for two hours on a single kayak . (Dog can join!) Parking for one car is $6 at entry of park .
Nice park close to Phoenix even if it’s a bit surreal to be at a lake among saguaros in the desert. Couple of decent hiking trails like to Yavapai Point to overlook the lake .

A great place to take a paddle board and just spend the day with some friends. Make sure to pack a lunch and take lots of water. . . don't drink from the lake .
