Great boozer. The best on this side of town . Guinness is tip top and the barmen are 100%. Rugby and GAA on the TV . Go!
Our instinct has well played bringing us into this bar , which was then filled with gents and ladies enjoying a glass after work. Here we also met Mr Guinness - the god of Dublin for the first time. ;)
This pub opened in 1823, it's one of Dublin's oldest pubs , many famous writers used to gather here. Real traditional Irish pub . Enjoy a drink in the snug or move up a floor&enjoy live music sessions.
Cute bar with a good selection of beers and whiskeys . Had the Smithwicks Red Ale which was delicious!! Definitely a recommendation
This place is a Victorian gem. The Whiskey Palace (upstairs) has the best selection of whiskey in the city . The Guinness is great upstairs and downstairs.
Friendly , fast & professional bar service . It's worth calling out seeing as there are many other pubs in Dublin that have had a lot of money spent on them to look good but the service element lacks.
One of Dublin's best Victorian pubs , its like going back in time. It's real, it's cool, it's unspoilt and most importantly it's local! Read more
A charming boozer that’s been going since 1823. There are stained-glass windows and a fabulous snug, and they even serve their own whiskey .
A great Dublin pub with a really strong whiskey selection and some good craft beers .
The back room has a skylight and brightens up the place, but you can sit in the front room in one of the cosy books at the bar , if you can claim one!
Great place for a relaxed pint. Awesome staff , huge beer selection , and not too crowded - perfect.
Great place to get a pint. Feels less touristy in the middle of the week
Great unchanged pub with great Guinness and great atmosphere. A must if you are in Dublin
Cute little bar that has toasties and a good pint of Guinness . Usually v quiet too.
You get that country pub feeling right in the heart of the city ! Beautiful Victorian style pub .
a great place to end the night ! the barman is top
Absolutely top notch best Guinness in Dublin with superb atmosphere & venue
Great welcome, great service, great Guinness
Great atmosphere with the proper beer ... a delicious Guinness !
Definitely an original Dublin pub experience. Absolutely worth it
They do all the O'Hara on draught and even have Murphy's and Galway Hooker . A must go.
So relaxing here at the palace bar lovely bar staff very friendly
Pretty old-school dublin pub . Crowded , but not unbearable despite being right in the epicenter of touristy bars .
Popular Dublin Pub with shed loads of history Alan (Dublin Visitors http://www.dublin1.webs.com)
Rude bar tender. Dark hair with a beard. Refused us water because ”75% of what you’re drinking is water” and heard under his breath say”fuckin Yanks”. Great time in Dublin but that guy is a clown.
Old classic bar that makes its own whiskey
Get a simple sandwich on the BEST fresh house-baked bread .
One of the best pubs I've ever been. And there's snuff as well (=
Good comfy back bar
Try a pint of Galway Hooker here, a nice, tangy Irish Pale Ale . This place is one of the few bars in town that serve it. They also have Murphy's too!
Best Guinness in Temple Bar
Relax and take a break in the back room with the skylight.
Though in the touristy Temple Bar area, some great music can be found upstairs.
Best place for whiskey !
Great for Kerry supporters on All Ireland final day
Most intimate place on temple bar for Irish music .
Best pint of Guinness in Dublin

Definitely a place to check out as it was the unofficial meeting joint for Irish writers in the past.
