Best Irish Bar 2012 - Sure it’s decked with dark wood and Irish accents, but it has organically become one of the best gathering spots in downtown, which is truly the soul of a good Irish pub . Read more

Service is great both at the tables and the bar . Drinks are strong and worth the price, as is the selection. It gets busy on weekends, but the outdoor and balcony seating is worth the wait.

Tony Riley

I had my Groom 's dinner here. Amazing! If you are looking for a perfect night for family and friends they've got an amazing party room and a wonderful staff . Whitney took care of everything! Call her!

Alas, St. James Gate Brewery day...Thurs. 6-close is a thing of the past. ???? (The city 's best Guinness pour at the best price.)

Arun D'Souza

Architecturally Beautiful Irish Pub ! At one point in time, this pub sold the highest number of cases of Jameson whiskey in the world!

Bribble Legit

You can visit 100 Irish pubs and never see a vegetarian burger on a menu. Not only do they have one, its one of the best I've had in 17 years of veggie burgers . Don't miss the dill crisps either!

Brandon Batt

This place is awesome. Rad Irish style pub with top notch food. Grab a pint and some pub pretzels and enjoy!

TJ K

Lots of different options. I had a house cocktail and the meatloaf dinner . Total win. Service was excellent as well .

Jenna Ernst

Favorite Irish Pub in the Twin Cities . The Cherries & Chocolate drink is perfect for cold winter evenings with friends!

Brad

Already some foursquare love for the Irish coffee but it really is special here. The whipped cream is infused with whiskey . An absolute treat on a super cold night.

Sharifa Simon

Came late night on a Saturday. Food came quick, the booths are a neat feature set into their own little "rooms". Music was so loud it took away from the cool decor and almost intimate feel.

Lauren Zimmerman

If you're into hard cider , get a Crispin- ridiculously refreshing. The Local's 2 Gingers whiskey is also pretty incredible- get in as a Big Ginger , or sip it straight...it's that good.

Keith Cavey

Hard to beat the brunch buffet . Nice spread of breakfast/brunch food, and it includes a Bloody Mary or Mimosa !

Jake Ferguson

The baked cheddar and tomato soup was amazing. I couldn't get enough of it! The walleye sandwich was also wonderful.

Teddy Eisenberg

Great communal atmosphere, especially for watching football . Now with brunch ! Try the breakfast shepherds pie .

Mpls.St.Paul Magazine

Try the Green Ox Charcuterie Platter. The meat talents of Mike Phillips are well displayed on this bar platter of cured and cultivated meats with flatbreads , fruit , chutney , and onions .

Matty Morse

The Guinness has improved much over the past year. Good pints now. The Irish breakfast (The Local) is very good.

Jacob Edholm

Plan ahead and get your group one of the amazing cozy areas all to yourself.

Arielle Lenox

The local is a super unique place and have the best whiskey and pretzels in the city !

City Pages

Voted as Best Irish Bar by City Pages in 2010. Fun/random/totally drunken fact: The Local sells more Jameson Irish Whiskey than any other bar in the world. Need we say more?

Ben Allen

The dancers across 10th in front of the old Let It Be are the best dancers in Mpls hands down. Catch them on the weekends and give em a few bucks. So much fun.

Joe Dolinaj

Great Irish Pub . The fish and chips were terrific. Try the Finnegins Ale . All the money goes to feed the hungry

Tanya Sparks

Great outdoor patio area . Try the chicken shots, they are delicious. So are their salads

Jeff Schmidt

Great brunch that includes mimosas , bloodys or screwdrivers . Biscuits and sausage gravy is to die for!

Andrew Dobney

Cool (unique) atmosphere. Chicken pub pie was good too!

Aakash Joshi

Good place for arsenal fans. Cosy pub atmosphere. Good for football ⚽, and bar food .

Lin Glimm

My first time here and our server recommended the Curry House Chicken ! Pretty damn good curry for an Irish Pub !

They have several enclaves to enjoy a good Irish brew with friends or coworkers

Calvin Chang

Late night Golden Calamari = horrible. sauces are bomb but the fried quality of these squids miss the shot by far. Just order the Big Ginger please.

Ricky Lai

Fish and chip is good, friendly staffs

These gents pour a great Guinness . Order one on St. Patrick's Day and then order a Poor Man's Black Velvet . You'll love it. Slainte!

Brian Lehman

Whiskey . It's worth a taste.

David Ostlund

One of two must visit pub staples on Nicollet Mall . Friendliest bartenders on the planet.

Wonderful place for a drink with friends, or to snuggle up with your sweetie in one of the dark snugs...

Rez Abek

Staff was super friendly . Looking forward to getting a huge meal next time.

2 GINGERS® Whiskey

What goes best with an Irish bar ? An Irish cocktail of course! Order a Big Ginger or a Skinny Ginger here.

Gus Whitelaw

The big ginge....also, grab the nook half way down the right side of the room past the couches on the left side. Best possible access to the bartenders ...

Andrew Murray

Yell random English town names at strangers. When they punch you, it just means you're officially bff's!

Chelley M

Always busy, staff are friendly and observant! Cute boy night doesn't appear to be Wednesday however, Mondays are a better bet :)

Nathan Church

Big ginger is as good as they say. Also, enjoyed the chicken pub pie .

Crispin Cider

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, enjoy a Crispin at The Local, a great mixology with Guinness , Smithwicks, Harp, and Fine Whiskey 's

Bombay

1 lb of Sriracha Wingys for $1.99 all day Wednesday, um, yes please!

Adam Nori

The Local Burger was one of the most amazing things I had during my time in Minneapolis! Highly Recommend it!

Nick Archer

The Wee Lunches are a great option and very reasonable...but I'm hungry today and the Walleye sandwich isn't an option as a wee lunch .

Tracy Morgan

Awesome hangover brunch - cheesy hasbrowns, eggs , bacon , caramely sticky buns , and a hair of the dog (and more) for 11.99. Yummy salvation.

Norman Ellis

Ahi Tuna Niçoise salad was on point. Would order it again.

Katie Elumba

Try to Pot Roast Sandwich and the Caramel Apple Crispin drink... Totally amazing! Great combo for Minnesota Winters :)
