Post-renovation it's spacious , w/ decent wifi (no pw, use a VPN). Lot of seats, not a lot of power outlets . Food is lackluster, wine is free. Check your privilege; it's a decent place to wait a while.
Great selection of snacks , drinks and magazines, but hopelessly overcrowded on weekdays since the lounge has to cater to Oneworld passengers, too.
Ignore the 'no warm food ' comments there is. They always served warm mini pork schnitzels and warm mini pork burgers . They now also do warm beef ones and also warm veggie ones. Not many seats though
Looks like our moaning about the cold food worked. These ladies have been cooking up a storm, its been a tiny schnitzel-city in here for about a year now ! Get em while they're hot !
It's a little crowded usually, but much nicer than the Air Berlin lounge ! And you get great views of the apron!
DUS airport 's third-party lounge in the Schengen area (T2). Not bad, just average. Large space (it can still get crowded at times) with a view to the boarding bridges , basic food and drink selection.
Warm food such as schnitzel and vegetable patty. Finger sandwiches and mini pretzel rolls . Very spacious . No WiFi password.
Nice business lounge with a fair choice of food and drinks! Perfect if you have a couple of hours to kill before your flight
The lounge refurb has been completed. Many more benches to the right and behind the new reception area. The place is nearly 100% bigger.
All u need, comfortable , selection of hot and cold snacks . Perfect ! Wish there was one in terminal A !
Very good lounge . Snack are good, service is friendly and there is a lot of room.
Starbucks next door better for coffee and food . Can get crowded , but otherwise comfortable and good free wi-do.
In June still undergoing major refurbishment. Due to be completed in October . As a result extremely crowded and finding seats challenging.
Pleasant little place, it could use more powerful reading lights though! 0-0
Nice wine and cozy atmosphere
Man its CROWDED in here !!!! Lots of overweight business folk eating mini schnitzels and Haribo...(guilty as charged !)
Great food all day, spent 5 hours there and service was excellent
The warm mini schnitzels are going like hot piggies today. Get some while you can !
Refurbishment (extension?) until October 2017. Until then even smaller and more crowded . Stay away!
Expectations: German Food Reality: Beef Meatballs & Dry Rice
Part of the Diners Club Lounge network. Warm food , sandwiches . Friendly staff .
Not a fan of this place. Food leaves a lot to be improved. Go here to get something to drink, grab a magazine and move on.
You Can go from gate A to Hugo Junkers lounge through exit tunnel .
Selection of foods and cold drinks is good. But the coffee they serve is pretty bad. So better go to Starbucks or "airberlin exclusiver Wartebereich" and bring your own!
Im as fat as a duck already today, but I just cant leave those tasty tiny schnitzels alone !!
Food-wise not impressive, and not very spacious . But nice for plane watching.
Food selection seems to be dependant on time of day. 3pm now and no warm food , just sandwiches and pastries .
Dirty . And smelly like a fish and chips-shop. Not at all at oneworld , BA or AB standards.
6pm, there was pork schitzels and veg patties as hot food.
Even after extension still far too small for the crowds. Free wifi , but unbelievably slow. Good food & drinks, though.
I am officially giving up the mini-schnitzels in the lounge .....(after this plate!)
New layout (March 2013) and back to rude staff . They ask for membership card (so lazy they don't want to type in the number). I always "forget" mine.
Probably better to wait in an airport cafe . Dark, overheated, overcrowded, few power sockets.
I warmly recommend the awful hostess at the reception who should first learn the basics to welcome the clients
Free wifi and coffee and food are now available.
HJL keeps true to tradition. Continues to be worst lounge I have visited
Great place to spend waiting time
Old school lounge ????????
Who is Hugo Junkers? Read all about him here: <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="https://tinyurl.com/q6lxqgt"target="_blank" data-sig="scWWAzH/sLUjqchn5lDTtMYaTcA=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">https://tinyurl.com/q6lxqgt</a>
Not the best lounge . No croissants ???? no cheese… but it was located close to my gate.
Why oh why can't I leave these little mini schnitzels alone ????
BA Lounge has now closed. All BA travellers need to use the HJ Lounge instead.
Go upstairs! The new upstairs has opened and has the same buffet with more room and nicer newer chairs
Free wifi and more than crackers currently no showers that sucks
Under construction until October 2017
Free Wifi access point
Nothing special here. If it's just for a short layover is OK
Overcrowded (every arline in the universe is here). The view is horrible. The food not too bad. Rudest staff in the whole wide world.
Takes priority pass
Kein Hefeweizen, nur Alt und Pils, aber das ist ja irgendwie auch in Ordnung, schließlich sind wir in Düsseldorf!
Much better than the one in Frankfurt, and in a nicer location, too. - Lars Kemp
If A is too busy, take B,C gates security check as these are often less busy. And then follow the signs to gate A, which won't take you long. - Ivo Wijnbergen
