Stockholm City Hall is the building of the Municipal Council for the City of Stockholm in Sweden. It stands on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, next to Riddarfjärden's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and Södermalm.

Really take the time to look around the outside of the City Hall . There are a lot of great statues around the building. This tree was planted the same year that the City Hall was inaugurated in 1923.
Take the Tour , it's free with the Stockholm Card. About 45mins and interesting. Don't forget the Tower, also free with Stockholm Card.
Do the guided tour . We did it in the afternoon and the guide told us that usually there are 5-10 groups walking through at the same time - because of our timing we were the only ones there!
A guided tour pays off! Beautiful rooms and a visit to the tour is a must! Can be bought closed to the entrance. Tiring but the view is great!!

The architect behind the City Hall , thought that the founder of Stockholm, Birger Jarl, should be buried on the grounds but he had then already been buried for 657 years. The existing coffin is empty.
