Donate, this zoo could really use it! Nice place, free, and good way to spend the afternoon. The parks surrounding the zoo is beautiful, too! Pack a picnic !
Incredible place to visit. Free, but donations are what keep it running. Volunteers are always informative and helpful. Beautiful gardens and fun animal exhibits .
You'll want to watch the flamingos. They're so peaceful , quiet , and funny if you look at how cautiously and delicately they step into the water. Don't forget their deserved camera shot!
Great place to visit. Beautiful park , not too big, doesn't require all day to see the animals and enjoy a zoo visit. Conservatory building is gorgeous!
Donations welcomed at my favorite free zoo ! The surrounding area is delightful and the Zoo is amazing. Take the kids and enjoy their wonderment.
This is a very nice zoo . It's donation based and has a lot to see.
Definitely go in the summer time. It's not too big which is nice, but seals and sea lions have practically no space when they are inside. Orangutangs looked pretty depressed too.
The polar bears are fun to see, but there are plenty of other animals as well .
Did you know? The Zoo got its start in 1897 when the city fenced off a pasture in Como Park to hold three deer, received as a gift . Read more
Beautiful grounds with a conservatory, zoo , lake , golf course and amusement park for kids!
I came on a slower day, it was raining and there weren't many people there. This seemed to make the animals less timid. The wolves were right at the fence. It was the closest I've ever been to a wolf.
activities and story time for "lil' explorers" every thursday through april. #toddler #kid
Visit Como Zoo 's Polar Bear Odyssey, which opened June 3. Plan a picnic ,take a walk around Como Lake and see all your animal friends at the zoo , including polar bears Buzz and Neil! Read more
Conservatory is great but the zoo itself is animal cruelty, and I feel terrible for the animals in those conditions, especially the primates .
It's free to get in & you know you'll see the animals, what's not to love??
A nice place to take the kids on a budget
Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is open 365 days a year and admission is free.
Great place to take the kids for cheap .
The Polar Bears are much more active in the fall, when it is cooler outside. They were playing and having a blast in november!
An excellent park ! Always free and always fun! Make sure to check out the beautiful conservatory as well !
Neal the polar bear is always swimming and happy!
Can get crowded but if you get bored of watching the monkeys then you can watch the people - very amusing.
Don't forget to donate on the home for the best animals
Please donate so their animals stop looking so starved! Otherwise good conservatory.. Should get more variety of animal though
Free! Go for the conservatory and Japanese gardens .
Somewhat light in vegetarian options , but I do remember that I managed to eat there somehow. Prolly ate fries .
Animals aren't allowed out unless temps are at least 50° during day & night. Carousel and picnic area bathrooms not even open. Disappointing visit on the 1st warm weekend since fall.
Japanese garden is small but serene. Please donate.
There were a lot of animals there ,but not any I wanted to see, and if I wanted to see people i'd go outside…
VISIT THE NEWLY REMODELED POLAR BEAR EXHIBIT WHEN IT IS DONE....THERE IS ALWAYS SPARKY THE SEAL BUT THE POLAR BEAR ARE LOOKS AWESOME
The new polar bear pen is way less depressing than the old one.
Still one of my favorite places to go walk around. And it's free!
Very low price for a beautiful and happy zoo
Don't throw your child into the otter habitat. They will be eaten
Great place to go and visit the animals plus the food.
If you see a blue poison dart frog hanging out in the conservatory , we talked to one of the rangers and they will not hurt you because they are not eating poisonous bugs here but please leave them be
Free admission ! Donations accepted, be generous.
Great for cheap entertainment! This zoo has no entrance fee!
If you plan in coming here have a lot of patience when looking for parking . I lasted 25 minutes
Great and affordable
Anna works there and she is awesome. She is so great with kids!!!
Snuck in at night to see the grey wolves.
Go on a cold day and beat the crowds. Skip the zoo boo though; way too crowded and nothing to do really but collect candy . Strangely enough there's no opportunity at zoo boo to actually see animals.
I love walking through the gardens !!
Park at the State Fair shuttle lot and get a ride in. Less crazy parking .
Such cool architecture
Go to the primate building and watch the baby orangutan play. Spend as much time as you have just being entertained by his antics.
New gorilla exhibit is awesome!
Come on a rainy day when there are no families!
Don't miss the sunken garden !
They're cute. You can easily get many good pictures since they're so big. - Pez
The conservatory is amazing, especially in winter when you need a bit of heat and green growing things! - Steve Bivans
Very beautiful, extremely lovely in the fall perfect for picture taking. - Leilani Andrews
The Sunken Garden is simply amazing. The flower arrangement rotates I think 4 times a year based on the season. - Arun D'Souza
Great for kids, young and old. Snacks are cheap, but good quality. Rides are great! - Leilani Andrews
