A Chicago staple, hot dogs are a must order. Try to avoid the lunch rush between 11:30-1:30. The chili dogs are incredible.
Did you know Portillo's has two different types of Chili ? The chili on their dogs is different than what you get in a normal cup. If you want the dog chili instead, order a cup of 'Original'. Yum.
Everybody knows the Italian beef is awesome here, but have you tried a cheeseburger ? They are awesome as well !
You haven't had Portillo's until you have had either a beef sandwich (with or without cheddar ) or a Chicago Style Dog with everything.

The numbers are not always called in sequence but by how simple the order is to complete if you only ordered fries weasel down to the window

Probably the worst customer service I've ever had at a Portillos. I always try and skip this location.
They were very unaccommodating when asked about allergens in their food. Instead of looking to see if their buns had milk , they just said "I have no idea". Apparently they didn't want our money.
