So much history in this iconic place! without doubt the main connection point and heart of The city , still the main connecting hub for many destinations outside Bangkok and around Thailand
Best vantage photography point is to get on the pedestrian bridge circling the monument .
wesome noodle store for 30bhat among the shopping streets. Can't remember the noodle name. Not to forget about the fried pork store by the road side.
Many road side stalls selling food and general stuff. Good kway chap there too. Very crowded area most of the time plus heavy traffic .
From here you take vans to nearby cities , there's a lot of food stands at night and many shops to buy almost everything!
Not only an impressive monument , but a big transportation hub with minibuses to Ayutthaya, Pattaya and other places outside Bangkok. It's easiest to navigate via the elevated platforms .
There is an excellent local bar with local musicians , very talented ! It's called the Saxophone club ! Really amazing !
Take the BTS here. Use the pedestrian bridge under the BTS. There's a great market selling clothes at the side of the roundabout. Don't really need to haggle as it is quite cheap already.
Lot's to eat in the area. For cheap steak , check out EatAmAre! You can also find minibus tickets to many locations here. I love chilling out here.
Many Bangkok BMTA bus lines stop around the monument 's traffic circle and commuter van lines also use the monument as a terminus.
