They've been making chalet beer since before craft brews were a twinkle in your eye, and the sweeping view of Ocean Beach , makes you want to cozy up with a creamy entree and one, or five, drinks. Read more
Way better than I expected. Good bar & grill American menu. Simple classics. Cozy and comfortable even during a Giants playoff game. I suspect that the weekend day drinking scene is a little wilder.
So if @kevinrose likes this then, oh boy so do I @samdownie . Get the Fish & Chips , very tasty. To go with it try the V.F.W light beer . And do get a table by the window.
When available, the specialty German style beers , like Roggenbier, are excellent. On a sunny day, hang out on the back lawn and enjoy a cold craft beer and a view of the windmill .
Beautiful views from the windows. Their fish n chips is very good! Also they serve brunch on Sundays and it's amazing! Make reservations to guarantee a table!
Check out the marker for the Gjoa, which was the first ship to sail the Northwest Passage and once lay aground in Golden Gate Park . http://bit.ly/npRWcn On the north side of the Chalet parking lot .
Views of the ocean are very nice but be warned about sitting next to the window, sun will roast you. Good sandwiches though at a $ premium for the views . Brewery on site.
Beer week: cioppino with red beer based salse and dungeness crab pairing with the same red beer ! AWESOME!
What a view ! Nothing better than a window seat on a bright , beautiful sunny day. Loved the open faced crab melt .
The host gave me her favorite corner table right next to the window. It definitely has wow factor views as long as it's not foggy!
Get a window table and watch the waves. For brunch , try the corned beef hash !
I only ever come here after Bay to Breakers. Love their outside area and their bar is great!
Giant letdown in food presentation, freshness, quantity and flavor. Alright beer . Great views .
This brewpub features a 3-6-9 happy hour . It goes Monday-Friday 3-6pm and 9-close, and includes a menu of drinks and appetizers that are $3, $6, or $9. Read more
Every single door in this place slams shut with a terrific bang. Close them gently or you'll have a migraine by meal's end.
Thank you for having a power outlet under my seat in the bar table area. I really appreciated it!
back patio . tons of babies on beach blankets on a nice day watching a live band that plays kids jamz. beer . they get it.
If you bring kids eat at the Park Chalet and let them run around in the park .
The Park Chalet is in the back facing the park , the Beach Chalet us upstairs facing the ocean. Just FYI
Do not pass up the mussels in white wine , cilantro and garlic sauce with Spanish chorizo and grilled sourdough wedge. Incredible!
The view is awesome, and the cioppino was fantastic
Food is mediocre but the view is killer. Other than the Cliff House, this is the only restaurant facing Ocean Beach .
Skip the wait and go right to the bar . Give the Presidio IPA a taste if you haven't already. If you time your visit with sunset it makes the experience even better.
Nice place to have an early dinner specially while the sun is setting. The local brew is not too bad either
Great view out over the water, and pretty decent beer . Food wasn't bad, but was generally disappointing.
This is my first time in San Francisco. And after a lond walk through Golden Gate Park this is a nice place to end up and watch the sun set!
Decent beers ! Get reservations if you want a table by the window for sunset .
Sit by the window at sunset for some amazing views !
Prices listed here are incorrect, management won't honnor their old prices and admit they haven't updated in 3 years. Food is mediocre. At least good view , but you have to sit by the window.
Loved the food, the wait staff and the View !
Definitely get the Beach Basil Ginger . By far the best drink of our entire 2-week stay here in San Francisco.
After you visit here, check out the 'sister' Chalet at the Lake - Merritt in Oakland. Spishally happie hour and the Gondola!!
It has a nice view of pacific ocean
Awesome view , don't let them seat you in the sun in the afternoon, it will boil you!
Great spot to grab brunch after golfing at golden gate park
$22 for 2 very and I mean very small pieces of Steak & fries . Well the view of the Ocean was nice.
The spicy grain veggie burger is unique and tasty!
The clam chowder was really tasty, and the crab cakes were great, if a little small.
Put some hot sauce in your chowder , it'll change your life!
Ciopinno and house salad are delicious!!!
Order the flight of beers ! Amazing oceanfront location!
Go on Tuesdays - for Taco Tuesdays and ask to sit out back on the lawn (weather permitting)
Good place to grab a casual drink and relax
The view is spectacular
The West End Wheat is delicious!
The Ales Sampler Set is a must!
Kids corn dog order came out cold in the middle twice.
Try the rip tide ale , out pleases my british palette greatly
Really good, tasty clam chowder .
Fantastic beer , views and service. The pastrami sando is awesome!
