Fontaine's Oyster House

Fantastic fare! A cool, casual place to drink&eat fabulous seafood . Atmosphere - great bar , loud , fun! We had fried oysters and grilled scallops . Yum yum yummy! The lobster bisque was delish!

The Blackened Alfredo with Scallops was amazing! But I will warn you that there are only two stalls in the women's restroom and one is extremely small, you have to squeeze in.

The rice balls were amazing , the keylime pie was to die for , and the salad was sooooooooo fresh! Didn’t get a chance to take many pictures lol , to busy feeding my face.

Great place to relax on a warm day. One of the best and most laid-back patios . Good and cheap ! They always have good drink specials and their Gulf oysters are big and cheap as well !

Very. Good. Food. The oysters are ice cold and fresh, the red beans and rice is perfectly seasoned, and the gumbo roux is made just right.

I highly recommend the Prince Edward Island mussels from the appetizers . They are shareable for two and good for a date. Sit outside and try to go later - it was REALLY loud ~730 on a Wednesday.

Look for the nightly food special. I like oyster Tuesdays and crab Wednesdays.

This place should be on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. It's the best seafood and oysters you'll find in the city with the most relaxed and casual atmosphere ! Come as you are and don't miss the awesome

the 1/2 price on legs and shrimp was great but the fake butter which was disappointing - crab meat was sweet so I skipped the butter. The bartender Amanda was RUDE (at least to women!)

The Hurricane hurt. Dozen oysters are $16 right now and very puny. OUCH!!!!!!

Food has somewhat declined over the years. During my visit we sat in the bar area and there was a group of Fontaine's employees that were dining prior to their shift they're #LOUD and very unruly. :(

$6 dozen on Tuesday is now $7...still a great deal though.

Food is excellent. Oysters and scallops are the best.

The back porch is where you want to sit.

the women's restroom is the worst. Only 2 stalls in the joint, and if you don't get the handicapped stall, just hold your bizness until it is available. The other stall is not worth entering.
