The downtown location of the godfather of Chicago 3rd wave/specialty coffee . If you're serious about coffee put this on your list. Direct trade and seasonal espresso , cold-brew and pourover coffees .
Probably one of the best coffee places I've been to. Great atmosphere and delicious coffee . It is very, very busy. You may have trouble finding a seat.
I have traveled a lot, and I have to say this is probably one of the best coffee spots I've visited in the US. Try the unique #Chemex With success comes popularity, so be prepared to wait.
Croissants are very good 👍 Staff is so cheerful and familiar 😊 Place is so small, pure and crowd. You may be to await one's turn if you want to have a sit down. Coffee trays are so pretty 💖
A San Francisco, Bay Area couple started their own third wave coffee spot in Chicago with this lovely downtown shop. This is easy to drink, speciality coffee , and pour overs are expertly done
Coffee contains more aromatic and flavor compounds than wine . The good baristas here tease out the best of them. Try a shot of espresso and pourover side by side to taste what I mean.
Intelli is the truth. This spot is maybe a bit more sterile than their other coffee bars , but the coffee is still impeccable. Go pour over or go home.
Great coffee options , solid breakfast snack offerings. Ham & cheese croissant and chocolate croissant are good.
Best latte I have ever had in my life -that's coming from an avid coffee drinker. Went back to brave the long line just to buy the El Diablo Dark Roast to take home.
Outstanding third wave coffee shop. They have some pastries (ham and cheese croissant ) as well as 15-20 seats indoors. Some outdoor seating for Chicago summers, too!
Perfectly brewed coffee every time . I have to stop & grab a cup with an oatmeal coffee every time I'm in the neighborhood .
Favorite Intelligentsia spot. Many locations, but love the atmosphere here around Millenium Park . Pour over , pour over , pour over no matter the bean is the choice!
The line/crowd can get really intense. If you were already on your way up the Randolph Street "hill " - head to Wildberry instead. Their Intelligentsia coffee bar will have you in and out in 2 minutes.
Best Coffee bar in downtown (Tip: Ask the barista for the origin of your coffee , they will brew it perfectly)
whenever we're in Chicago & need coffee Intelligentsia 's the place we seek out. cortados are solid and the angeleno will keep you caffeinated until the next day lol
Central stop for caffeinated pauses. Excellent location near all the sights. Welcoming and fast service . Good seating area. Try their signature drinks .
1st place I've been to in usa that have flat white on the menu, and it was amazing. Must try for serious coffee drinkers. Plus they play great tunes .
Top notch coffee spot for a quick brew while in the Loop for locals and visitors alike. Lots of good pasty options too.
Coffee to consume on premises is similarly priced to Starbucks and miles better. You can't really go wrong with anything there. Bagged coffee is expensive , but it's fair trade and absolutely worth it.
I travel the world & happened to be near this place one weekend so I went in and was pleasantly surprised. I have never had a Latte as good as the one made here and the staff are awesome!
Their lattes are super smooth! Their mochas have the right amount of chocolate flavoring
Fun stop after following the coffee shop on Instagram for a few years. Iced dirty chai was spicy and so so good. Next time I'll hit up the roastery.
Cappuccino really showcases the quality of the coffee served here. Speaking of service, that alone is worth the trip: It's an even mix of art and science here.
This is my #1 all-time fave coffee shop (any of the intelligentsia locations). I must stop at one everyone I visit chicago.
Trendy café located right below L.A. Fitness! GREAT coffee . Wish they offered cheaper refills/ larger servings.
Worth a pilgrimage when I'm in Chicago for fresh roasted single-origin coffee , brewed to bring the best out of each variety of bean.
Espresso is awesome and amazing, probably the best coffee shop you will find in downtown Chicago.
The Ethiopian blend blew me away. This would probably be my new spot if I didn't live in Philly. If any Intelligentsia lovers are ever here though, check out ReAnimator and get an espresso .
Amazing coffee , great service. A bit overpriced and pretentious though. We already love your coffee , you have nothing to prove...
Guys you should try this coffee shop . One of the best in town . Fresh brewing coffee ❤🍵
The staff is helpful and the location is nice w/ the outdoor space ; Wear your most hipster outfit, studded shorts for girls and all men should dress like a speakeasy employee from the 20's.
Wonderful service & rich flavorful latte served like how a latte should be. Plenty of scones/muffins to choose from as well .
The Pour Over prepared on the chemex is the ultimate hip move, says local source . It fired me up.
Perfect stop in your way to Millennium park , especially on a chilly day. Grab a latte to keep you warm and continue your walk over!
I love coffee … this place has raised the bar for my standards of coffee venues. You have to make a trip out just for this place when you are in Chicago or Cali.
Have been there in March 2013 twice. I think... anything you can get there will blast your mind. I had one drip coffee and one cappucino . - Great!
A total hipster hangout but excellent coffee . Well worth the wait for fantastic coffee . Just ignore the indignant stares from some of the staff .
Great matcha with oat milk , flatwhite and filter also delicious!
Try a superbly spiced dirty chai and hang out to try one the Matthew's Mazes posted above the bar along the wall.
I call this place the "old reliable" - perfect espresso shot every time. Seating is kind of limited, so if you're looking for a table to yourself you're out of luck.
espresso was pretty bitter... pull time must have been off. mocha decent bc of the balance of dark chocolate/espresso which had a potent aftertaste... Atmosphere is neat, though. 2 out of 5 stars.
Freshly roasted and proudly poured, we're working every day to bring you the finest Direct Trade and In Season coffee available.
Chicago is a surprisingly great coffee town , and this is one of the best local options.
baristas are incredibly helpful! Free drink if you buy beans. And they have an app! Yes, people, there is an app for that!! Free on iTunes!!
Best flat white , and indeed coffee overall I've had in Chicago.
Consistently great coffee . One of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago.
Mocha is almost as good as stumptown in Portland... And it has the same vibe... Other than the customers, mostly business ppl. If your around and like coffee you should go
The brand, smell, taste, everything is amazing!
The WiFi strength is nice. I was able to pull a full day of network intensive work. +1for their pumpkin spice latte
Great coffee . The location was packed
