Theresienwiese

From September 19th to October 4th is again O'zapft time. The Oktoberfest in Munich is the largest public festival in the world. It takes place on the Theresienwiese in Munich since 1810.

Probably best known for Oktoberfest, but also Tollwood festival is taking place here (summer and winter)!

Regardless of Oktoberfest or not, this place is worth seeing, Nice area and especially the Bavaria statue is worth it.

If you want a spot in a tent I would suggest you go during the work week, otherwise prepare yourself for waiting!

Beer , food, sweets and a lot of people from all around the world.

Good fun and very crowded . By worth seeing definitely.

Try to come midweek unless you LOVE crowds. Great atmosphere inside the beer tents .

If you want to see German urban culture and sports you should visit this place. Don't visit this place while Oktoberfest - this has nothing to do with any culture.

Veranstaltungen , wie der große Flohmarkt sind für die Theresienwiese gemacht. Aber es hat auch eine tolle Atmosphäre nachts über die leere Theresienwiese zu radeln.
