THE slice shop in North Brooklyn. Mootz=garlicky white slice; hellboy=pepperoni w/ hot honey ; Freddy Prinz=upside-down square. + vegan options .
Hellboy is still my favourite. They have more seating in the back with TVs .
Really great pizza ! I loved how the crust was thin, though crunchy enough to eat it. It wasn't overpowering at all. I got 7 slices - 3 vegan supreme 4 vegan cheese which were delicious
The Freddy Prince has arrived and there’s no question about this upside down square slice with the entire underside lined with a crunchy sesame seed crust : 👑
Get the Mootz - fresh & grande mozzarella , romano , garlic & a drizzle of olive oil & the Freddy Pepperoni Square - tomato sauce , fresh mozzarella , romano & pepperoni on a sesame seed Sicilian crust!
Old school 80s vibe including 2 seats with an Atari. Both the Freddie Prinze and the pepperoni were great
Some of the best slices in the city . Tops Joe's without a doubt. On the pricier side, and the place is usually slammed, but whether you're taking a slice to go or hanging out, it's always good.
Due to COVID-19 : Outdoor seating is along Noble Street along with the takeout window. Pick up your pizza at the entrance on Franklin Street.
The Hellboy squared aka the Freddy Prince with Pepperoni and hot honey drizzle is by far the best slice here
Freddy Prince Slice with sesame seed crust . Hellboy slice with hot honey is on point as well
The amount of pepperoni on each slice alone makes this joint worth it. They allow takeout orders!
Cheese pizza is excellent. There are more seats (and a bar ) in the back
Hellboy and the mootz would be a great superhero pairing, but are even better as pizza slices
Hellboy and Freddie Prinze are excellent.
Pepperoni slice for $4.25. On the expensive side but worth every penny
Amazing slice shop. Sesame crust on the square slices and the hot honey slices are the highlights.
I’m not vegan but I often try the vegan specials because they have such a great, creamy texture!
Hellboy and sausage slices
Way overcrowded and stressful for me. We even skipped the line by ordering at the bar . You have to listen over a lot of loud noise for your name to get called. Decent slices but not worth the ordeal.
The hell boy is so good!! Also had the moots and freddie jr were ok
Get the Freddie Prince , simple, airy, delicious.
Freddie Prinze slices are phenomenal. Sesame seeds on the bottom of the crust is a nice touch.
Got a Freddy Prince ...could eat it every day. Love the vibe!
Pepperoni pizza ✅ also try to Sicilian pie !
The hellboy is my favorite! The sesame crust is also delicious
Sesame seeds on the crust?! Hell yeah!
An unfortunate side effect of its former buzzy allure is the persistent rudeness of its staff . Arrogant and self-important, they seem to delight in making customers feel stupid or misunderstood
So overrated. Been going to original place for over a decade, and for it was A+ pizza . Now, it’s mediocre at best. They’re pumping out quantity (tourists !) over quality. A relic of the 2000s, RIP.
We went around 4:30 on a Sunday and they had closed due to lack of help. Can’t wait to actually try it!
Sometimes they just run out of pies and they’re so busy that the person taking orders walks away and you’re stuck in line . Pizza is good but expect a wait or disappointment if they don’t have pizza
Good dough , standard cheese for a slice shop, pelati was nothing special. Only tried the cheese slice, so I can’t speak to the rest of the pizzas
Hellboy square slice 👌🏻
Loved the hell boy! Freddie prince and moots were ok
Vegan pizza was sooo goood!
Legitimately the best slice in NYC.
TO Top NYC 2019
Well located with a clean and fun retro decor. It has some nice Yankees memorabilia . HOWEVER, we had 3 different types of pizza and we were disappointed with all 3. Fountain drinks were very good.
Vegan special!
contains sesame seeds
I would do anything to anything for a slice of this pizza .
The decor is beautiful and just like the old school pizza shops. Their slices are mediocre at best.
Overrated!! Had cheese and bellboy slices, both decent but not worth a trip to specially get them. There are way better options - Best Pizza , Di Fara or Roberta’s!
Sort of like Scarr’s or Upside, quality ingredients and preparation just don’t make the grade taste wise. Expensive too
Sold out of pizza at midnight on a Friday, except their vegan “pizza .” Worst slice in recent memory.
👍🏼 Hellboy
The best pizza in the city!! The hometown bbq brisket pizza was delicious. - marcy stone
Newsweek '19 Top 9 BK Places: Tops when it comes to Neapolitan-style pizza (made w/naturally leavened dough); In addition to pies w/sourdough crust, & tasty antipasti, Ops offers excellent wine list - Marc
Had a slice of L’industrie, a ny slice with heavy Italian flavors. Great neighborhood spot. - Albert Alwang
So many scenic views here! Great place for picnics & fresh air! Plenty of green, grassy areas & plenty of benches! - Kimmie Ohh
Their tap list is consistently one of the best in NYC. Considering the size that is impressive. And it is a good deal. - Brian Merz
