Scholz Garten

Austin's oldest outdoor biergarten and dining hall was built by German immigrant August Scholz in 1866. They still serve some German dishes alongside nachos , and burgers to a largely politico crowd.

Get the Apple Strudel , but order it before you're done as they cook it fresh and it can take 20 mins SO WORTH IT.

We showed up on tailgate day. Limited menu but it was still good. Will definitely have to come back for the full menu. Regardless the service was amazing. We love Sky

Super charming BierGarten where fixtures were imported from Germany in the 1880s. Had the pretzel . Didn’t have anything else and it was divine.

The schnitzel is just ok. The service was just ok. The environment is just ok. That said the beer is great and it's an institution.

Ordered a beer , waiter never came back to get out food order. So, after 30 mins of waiting, we got up and left without paying. This place is always understaffed.
