Its a historical complex,a branch of history museum of st.petersburg. the architectural highlight of it,is the catheral. its also a landmark and can be seen from the city !

It is amazing to stand within the walls and know that so much history was created there. Either going with a tour guide , or reading a little bit about what it was, and now is, will be helpful.

Beautiful to walk around, but they ask you to pay for anything extra, and its not cheap . Also we got an electronic tour guide and had to walk all the way back to entrance to return it

It is like a theme park where you can go only for a walk also! The entrance there is free and you have to pay in every museum you want to visit.

The Governor House has a fantastic St Pete history exhibition with speaking telephones and a miniature house with amazingly detailed rooms - definitely worth a visit!

You can walk around the fortress or visit some of the many small museums there, such as the cosmonaut museum or the bastion prison . Surprisingly, there are actually people still living on the island .

В 12:00 стреляет пушка . Обязательно сходите в собор - усыпальницу всех Романовых, включая убиенного Николая II, а также в музей тюрьмы .

Можно прогуляться, зайти в собор и по музеям . Прогулка по территории крепости - бесплатно. Потом - спуститься на набережную . Девушки, главное - наденьте удобную обувь! Ноги убьете о брусчатку.

Действительно- классика для отличного время препровождения. Много музеев на любой вкус. По весне, когда ещё лёд на Неве... На пляже Петропавловки можно подивиться загорающими моржами=)

Летом по субботам в 12 часов (после выстрела пушки ) проходит парадный развод караула (не знаю как правильно называется это мероприятие). Очень красивое зрелище! Места занимать в 1 ряду следует с 11.30

Потрясающее место с богатой историей. Именно с Петропавловской крепости начинался Санкт-Петербург! Здесь погиб царевич Алексей, не дожив до казни. Обязательное место для просмотра .
