Stop here! Pliny the Elder is the best IPA you'll have. Get a taster of Supplication, Consecration & Temptation, their line-up of sours aged in Pinot Noir , Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay barrels!
Definitely worth a little detour. Take a sampler and find out which of 18 beers you like best. Then have your growler filled with your favorite. Great bites too.
Heaven on earth for West Coast IPA . Beer Advocate top rated Blind Pig (Single IPA ) and Pliny The Elder (Double IPA ) on tap and bottles to go. If you carry out be sure to drink fresh and keep chilled.
The BEER ! Duh! Fill your growler , grab a 12 pack of Pliny , but a t-shirt! This place is run like a well-oiled machine. There's a line to get in. Don't forget your ID!!
One of the finest craft breweries in the country . They master many styles including IPAs and sours. Don't overlook other beers to get Pliny the Elder, others are fantastic too!
The best thing about This place is obviously the world-class beer but their prices are a close second. Very reasonably-priced pints and pours. Oh, and eat some Pliny Bites . Yesss.
Every beer is amazing here at possibly the best brewery in the country . Try the 18(ish) beer tasting flight. Skip the food, if you can. Expect a wait for a table, but you can order drinks at the bar .
Get the full flight to sample everything. Their sours are the best. Pizza and house salad were both great accompaniments. Right off the highway and easy to find.
Head over to the Russian River Brewing Company and try their award winning Pliny the Elder IPA which was voted by the readers of Zymurgy as the best beer in the country for the 6th year in a row. Read more
Pliny the elder is a balanced IIPA and the highlights are the wild ales (not all spontaneously fermented) aged in different local wine barrels. Some cool stuff on the side too like an English bitter.
Pliny the Elder, Blind Pig and Damnation . You can see the actual brew tanks in the cellar next to the bar , and the full, Italian-inspired, beer-paired menu makes lingering even more delicious. Read more
The famous Pliny the Elder IPA lives up to its name. Hands down the best IPA . And all the pizza you want to go with it!
The beer is amazing! After you have a pint of Pliny the Elder (obligatory), try their other beers . You won’t be disappointed! This was a bucket list brewery for me. So good!!
Amazing!! There could be a line to get in but worth the wait. Extremely good beer and good food. Get the sampler if you've never been
The beers are awesome, so much character. The marguerite pizza was just perfect! The crust, the flavor... not for nothing you have to make a line at 11am.
Pliny the Elder is worth the wait. We went at 3:30 on a Sunday and only waited 10 min. Food is delicious and happy hour is all day on Sunday's! You can't go wrong at Russian River Brewing Company.
Enter the line for a table and go get dinner elsewhere. They'll text you when your table is ready about an hour and a half later. The tasting platter is an amazing experience and great value .
The line is worth it. Great beer at great prices, tasty bar food, fun & entertaining casual atmosphere . Be sure to buy some extra beer to take home with you!
Be patient waiting for your beer , it will be worth the wait. Of course, get the Pliny the Elder, but the Row 2 is also a must. Also, a growler of Pliny for $22 is one of the best deals of life.
Beer was great and the pizza - heavenly. Crowded but a very fun atmosphere . Bartenders were a mixed bag: if you got a good, friendly one then golden. Would visit again.
The sampler is so cheap that they're basically paying you to taste 18 beers . After the sampler, get seconds of the sweet Belgians, and Pliny . The sours of the sampler will accentuate their sweetness.
Get the full flight...Taste ALL the sours and CA style beers .....GET THE PIZZA , it's amazing (had the Mikey and the Margherita )
Home to Beer Advocates's Best Beer in the World, Pliny the Younger, Russian River Brewing Company is a mecca for the beer enthusiasts. Recommendation: Try the sampler to taste the range of beer types.
All belgium drinks come in a specific cup size so you don't need to tell your waiter/waitress the pint size you desire. It will save you time and it will also make sure you won't look like a noob.
Great beer and food! We have tried to go here so many times but never willing to wait in a long line to get in. We walked right in later in the evening.
Grab a sampler flight which will give you 2oz pours of every single one of their beers on tap . It's well worth doing and very affordable too!
Pizza was on point, beer selection is awesome. Pliny the elder obviously and they had some pink sour for charity that was surprisingly delicious.
RRB have some the Highest Rated Beers in the World!! The Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger are rated #2 and #3 on BeerAdvocate.com You must definitely try some of their Craft Belgian Beers on Tap !
Pretty great little brewery . Every option is a classic micro brew . The pizza and cheese bread are crazy delicious. Beware of their sour beer options they are pretty terrible.
The sampler of beer is a delightful way to experience everything they have to offer. Tasty food as well .
Consecration (dark sour) is so good. Line to get inside, along with a wait for a table, can be very long. But so worth it...
Try the beer flight (duh). Pizzas are good too! Get there early because the line gets really long.
This place is a bit of a hype machine, but great beers come out of here. Can't decide? Get the sampler of everything!
This place is packed in the evenings and boasts performances from local musicians . Perfect for those looking for a lively evening. For a quieter beer tasting experience, visit during the afternoon.
Quite possibly the best barrel aged Belgian style ales in the country ! And their IPA doesn't suck either!
Awesome beer (and pizza ), but go on off hours, it can get VERY busy. Worth the wait, but it's sometimes a long one.
The beer without question is something worth a trip in for. Have a pizza too! Delicious, with many options!
The Beer Tasting is a great way to learn about all of their offerings
Awesome beer selection . Get the flight where you can taste every beer . Very affordable too. The Pliny is AWESOME!!
Fantastic beer and great pizza . Very busy but great atmosphere even for lunch .
Get a pliny , but the sours are the best. Amazing atmosphere but be prepared to wait to get in.
Pizza bites are a beer friendly snack .
Pliny is nice but Row 2 Hill 56 is where it's at and the sour beers are to die for.....
I always spend way too much when I come here. Bring a full wallet because everything is worth trying!
Tons of beers on tap , including Pliny of course. California's labeling law is dumb, preventing breweries from filling any container other than theirs.
So many beers of different types. Gotta have Pliny the Elder as well add some of their sours. Great food as well .
My all time favorite company. Try anything. Try everything. You won't be disappointed!
The signature is Blind Pig IPA , but check the chalkboards above the bustling bar , which list the dozens of frequently changing, seasonally inspired small-batch suds available.
This place is a bit of a hype machine, but a lot of great beers come out of here. Can't decide? Get the sampler of everything!
Food was really good. Recommend the meatball sandwich and Pliny bites . Beer is in a class of its own! Excellent!
Good local beer. Delicious food to pair. Macaroni n cheese is a must try! Love this place. - Kassy Badger-Morse
A for atmosphere. The beer is high quality especially for a small place. The Hyperion Red is balanced and floral. The food is fun as well. Get the waffle BLT (must have this with Sriracha) - Rosie Simonitch
The IPA and Honest days work are both very good. Warm service too. - Ben Gasparini
The patio is very dog friendly. Try any of the barrel aged beers. They are amazing. - Andy Pino
Great two-level bookstore. Check out the upstairs for some awesome reading spaces and coffee perch spots. - Joel Scott
