Great Sichuan food . The best Mapo Tofu I've had in NY. Wontons in chili oil and soup dumplings were also on point. No misses
The braised tilapia in chili oil is amazing. The meat is delicate and subtly spicy . The cumin lamb also reminded me of Shanghai. If you love Szechuan pepper corns then try the gelatin noodles .
Everything is delicious here. Start off with the Bang Bang Chicken . Other faves are Ma Po Tofu , Tea Smoked Duck , and Dan Dan Noodles . If you need a vego, go with the snow pea shoots with garlic . YUM.
Fantastic Sichuan food from Cafe China team with a hip vibe. Wontons in chili oil , soup dumplings , Dan Dan , ma po, cumin lamb , fried rice , and kung pao chicken all great.
Must order: sweet and sour baby ribs . Should probably also order: bang bang chicken , double cooked pork , string beans with minced pork , purple rice .
One of the better Szechuan meals I’ve had in BK. The double cooked pork , poached wontons in chili oil and duck fried rice were the stars.
Mapo , Husband Wife, and Dan Dan were all winners. Can't wait try out the rest of the menu. Fav addition to the neighborhood in years! 😍😍😍😍😍
Brooklyn Szechuan destination from the Cafe China team . Cool atmosphere. Dan Dan noodles are delicious. Rest was pretty average. Affordable prices, large portions to be shared.
Another high quality Chinese resto from the crew from Cafe China, China Blue. Love their chicken , the soup dumplings solid, loved the chili fish (fried). Skip the eggplant , ribs too sweet
Really nice vibe. All food was tasty. Pls note that they have plenty of space for walk-ins for 2 people sitting at the long table - on the website we couldn’t make reservation , but no problem.
NYT: Recommended Dishes Pork and okra mini rolls; pork won tons in chile oil; husband and wife special; spicy and sour tofu pudding ; dan dan noodles ; snow pea shoots ; sizzling baby squid ; cumin lamb ;
Dumplings ! Do not miss the steamed soup buns , kung pao chicken 💯 Fresh, bright space. Service is friendly . Busy but not loud - great for dates.
Ming bean noodles and poached dumplings are must-orders.
Don’t usually like to give tips off delivery (what if it’s better in-person?) but the kung pao chicken and double cooked pork were both excellent so here’s a like
Super delicious soup dumplings (xiaolongbao ) - way better than what you get at Joe's Shanghai! Also the dandan noodles are some of the best I've had in the city .
Soup dumplings , lamb , and spicy tilapia . Mmmmm. Excellent service and great ambience!
You already know to get the soup dumplings . I recommend skipping the entrée and getting as many dim sum plates/small plates as possible. Sweet & Sour short-ribs and Sichuan cold noodles were great
Bang bang chicken , dan dan noodles , scallion pancake , kung pao chicken , and royal rice were all delicious. And it's BYOB .
The wontons in chill oil are my hands down favorite! Recommend going with a group -most entrees are 2 big and too intense for 1, a smaller amount of a variety of things works better.
Next level steamed whole fish and authentic food as a whole; beautiful, minimalist decor; kind and attentive staff . This is the Chinese restaurant I'd take my family to.
Cafe China (same owner) is definitely more flavorsome but this restaurant is definitely close to being fab. Get the duck fried rice , the cold noodles , and the crab soup buns
Love this place. Order the Scallion pancakes , duck fried rice , kung pao chicken , and the dan dan noodles !
NYT recommends sliced pork belly on pickled mustard greens ; spicy soft-shell crab ; braised beef for two; double-cooked pork ; steamed czi ba; rice wine soup with rice balls .
The best dan dan noodles I’ve had in nyc, with proper Sichuan pepper albeit sparingly used. Other dishes were westernized and disappointing. Looking at you cumin lamb !
The Dan Dan noodles and double cooked pork were amazing! The soup dumplings were delicious as well .
Soft shell crab was out of this world!! Loved the tripe , cold noodles , and squid as well ! Def go with the Sichuan dishes- amazing!!
The Bang Bang Chicken is like crack.
bang bang chicken , fried rice , mapo tofu , eggplant accordions, pork dumplings in chili oil are all incredible. it's byob for now, and it's a tip inclusive restaurant . what more can i say?
Got the dan dan noodles , fried pork buns , fried fish filets , and twice cooked porks . All the food was delicious, though pork was a bit over salted.
extremely legit Sichuan food , and I know my Chinese food . Mung bean noodles , spicy stewed beef / fish , and eggplant are highlights
Tripe , Szechwan peppercorn , soup dumplings !
Ambiance, A+. Food, B-. I want to go back to try more item but ginger beef was pretty close to something at an American Chinese food place.
DELICIOUS everything. Curry dumplings , pot stickers , soup dumplings ... beautiful setting. I'd definitely take a date here ;)
Love the dumplings and the dan dan noodles . Definitely had better mapo tofu and fried eggplants .
Spicy cumin lamb and mapo tofu both amazingg. Ribs , purple rice , dumplings all great too. Definitely visit.
Very good and authentic Chinese restaurant . I loved their dumplings , Dan Dan noodles , and rice wine soup .
Wontons in chili oil and Kung pao chicken are insanely good. Dumplings and chive pancakes are favorites too.
Poached wontons in chili sauce , crab soup dumplings , and regular soup dumplings are great. Dan dan noodles are meh.
Great Szechuan spot. Braised fish is really good, sesame noodles basically anything on the menu.
fish and pickle stew will heal your soul, great with the spicy soft shell crab , wood ear mushrooms and spicy eggplant !
Husband and wife special, soup dumplings ! Dim sum and desserts !
Duck fried rice , pork wonton dumplings , fish fillet
Very loud place with tasty food but such a few vegetarian options (and not all of them taste good). If you are a vegetarian or pescatarian better find another place for a delicious dinner .
The twice fried pork belly is amazing!
If you're with a big group, get a whole fish !
honestly you can’t go wrong! but the wood’s ear mushrooms are a MUST try.
Pork dumplings and string beans were good. Skip spicy fish (fried) and the scallion pancake
Good for lunch don’t know if I’d do a dinner here. All the dumplings 🔥🔥🔥 shredded beef
Best Chinese in North Brooklyn with out-to-lunch service.
The cucumber salad is amazing. Everything we tasted was really good.
The mock eel is the must-have dish here. The soup dumplings and the sesame noodles are great, too. - Emily Wilson
Good ambiance. Food was okay, the wontons in chili oil were my favorite. - Molly Le
Try their peanut butter hot chocolate and add the whipped cream 👍🏻 - Kyo Song
The most gorgeous bar in Brooklyn. Love the vibe, cocktails and staff. - IrmaZandl ZandlSlant
